Pellets work well when you’re on the moeny with your aim. I have dropped many squirrels with pellets. I may have shot 2-3 with slugs. I have gotten pass throughs shooting squirrels from front shoulder to thigh, almost the length of the body. My pass through are from domed pellets, but I also kill some with Crosman Premier Hollow Points from a low-powered Prod. The CPHPs rarely pass through.
