Pathfinder XR = Executed Red💥

In my backyard I am reluctant to pick winners and losers. I have a lot of squirrels, both grays and reds. The majority get a pass from me because they stay away from the barn. The pictured little guy is responsible for the hole above it to the left. It was shot at 52 yards, Pathfinder with WHT 3-12x atop, TP on lowest setting, sending CPHPs… The Pathfinder is deadly out to 60+ yards… All the reds seen on or near the barn have been green lighted…

So that is a red squirrel right? I heard a walnut hit the ground at my neighbors and then heard some chattering. A small squirrel came down the trunk shortly looking EXACTLY like that one. I've seen em snip cones, acorns, walnuts....then plant em in my yard usually Nice shot!

Yes it is, in NYS they are considered a pest species, no bag limits, hunting license required though. I give them a pass, until I catch them in the act of being pests…
