1.5x 7 is right. Instead of picks, try forceps for o ring removal, No chance of scoring anything and works better. When I replaced my reg o rings I also had alot of "fungus" . Im probably going to go in and replace them again soon, as I I have slower reg recovery and more creep than originally. I also have tried poly, cast poly and viton for the 122 size, and the best is the cast poly, followed by standard poly then viton IME. I picked up a bunch of NBR 90 duro 122s that I'm going to try next. Given that nitrile is an industry standard I cannot see how they wouldn't work, but we will see.So, I finally got my order of orings in, they held up my order for weeks, waiting for the alternate 122's to come in. I finally told them to skip it, viton is fine.
Anyways, I was changing out the fill port o-ring and the AAA Guage Block schematic for it says that it is a 1.5 x 8mm, but the AAA o-ring chart lists it as 1.5 x 7mm. What changed when, and which one is more correct? I know the 7mm works, so it probably doesn't matter, but it kind of threw me off today because I was looking at the schematic and not the o-ring chart, at first, and my order of o-rings, and I was like, "where is the 1.5 x 8's?" The little number 4 polyurethane o-ring was a bear to take off, and replace, too. That was the little stinker that stuck on me before and drained my fill bottle.
My reg had creep and the polyurethane o-rings on that, had, what I am now calling "o-ring fungus" a take on toenail fungus, because that's what it looks like when they go bad, actually creepy!
I did not take apart the receiver block yet and do those. I know I should have, but if it ain't broke don't fix it, works too.
That one actually doesn't look bad, which is another thing that doesn't make sense. I am running into that a lot this weekend trying to address issues. When it rains, it pours. Also I'd say after 6 months or depending on how often you shoot, I'd check your probe orings.
Cast poly must be the best because they are always out of them. My last resort move for removing o-rings is cut carefully, and not all the way down, with an exacto knife, and use forceps to pull out; but I really don't like having to do that. If you have an older EVOL before our branded OEM gauges the fill foster will use a 1.5X8 https://americanairarms.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/02/E-100-0102-00-B1.pdf1.5x 7 is right.
