Ive been seeing a lot of budget PCP guys being able to shoot these 10 gr Knock outs well, one of the inspirations here is @Pumacarl praise from his Hatsan Vectis. The other reason I wanted to give this rifle a go and give .177 another chance is because of the advertised 150 shots per fill at current reg pressure with 9 grainers and the 3 magazines. This thing is gunna make relaxing shooting easy, as long as it shoots :D

Anyways , I know these rifles get a bad rep for their stock, I happen to know someone is working on a sporter style stock for these , when they will be ready? I don't know, nor do I truly care haha. With the recent PA code, this thing came in at under $400.00 with 3 magazines, AR furniture, and a "suppressor".

I don't see the bipod mounting picatinny rail being an issue for me with the type of shooting I do. If it is I will look to the terminador airtube clamp mount, and actually run it with the chinese accu tac wannabe legs (have a buddy who uses them and loves them honestly).

I am going to mount my Midas Tac Gen 2 5-30 on this thing.

Congratulations! I never would have guessed! I thought you were going .25. I notice that one of the tins does not have the little blue box in the 7 o'clock position on the face, signifying MK3's, the difference between the two will make you a believer too.

You should have a lot of fun with that gun, it's so smooth. I highly suggest Maple magazines. I like that they have a bolt stop position so that you don't end up firing on an empty chamber, sounds like a small thing but it adds up quickly.

The other tin is the 13 gr , I figured I'd give them a try as well!

I can't wait to test it out this weekend over the long weekend.

I notice a distinct difference between the skirts on the 13s vs the mk3, the mk3 skirt shows me why I think they shoot so well for most.

I know right? Unbelieveable how thin and deep that skirt is, but what's even crazier is that I haven't found a badly damaged one yet either. The .22 K.O.'s are the same way. I would not have imagined that a .216 slug would shoot at all out of my Barra, let alone be the best, but it is! JSB might have screwed up the 25gr .22 MRD's but they have been doing awesome with their slugs.

I have not tried the 13gr K.O.'s, so that should be interesting to hear about. The other slug that you might want to get a box of are the NSA 12.5gr, many people find these to be good. I think they are the single best projectile that I have shot from a .177, super accurate with a good b.c., they are just a little too stabby when they should be getting flabby, and pass through too much. The 10.03gr MK3's vaporize on Starlings, no more fly offs! They don't have the b.c. of the NSA but they are the ticket on Starlings anyway.

Peri needs a bath and i wanted this thing zerod so I could get to testing this weekend.

Its windy, it's colder, it's pouring, but whatever, these are tools so I went out and zerod it and ran a chronie string.

The reg is consistent, the Midas tac 2 has these amazing metal notched caps so I could use them to keep the rain off my glass.

The reg gauge says just under 1000 so im guessing 950 to 975 psi, box says it should be set at 1160.

Would explain slow speeds. However it is zerod (and only took 2 shots to do) and at 25 yards I put the remaining 11 on top of the 2nd shot.

Its a 1:17.7 twist which is what these knockouts are designed for. I believe most 177 are this twist rate with only a few exceptions so that's promising.

The "moderator" is very openly stated as an empty useless tube by Macavity. Excited to watch you play with this, congrats!

Yeah reading that on their site before I decided to purchase it made me laugh but I did research before buying it and found theres a few options for inserts for the factory can , at this power level im not worried about using a 3d printed insert.

The tube is the same that the FX rifles come with.

Where did you get this from? I believe you , it would just be cool to know where the info came from is all. Thats actually pretty rad.

And if you are able to get those numbers and accuracy, then you would have one heck of a barn gun! Would be good for a woods walker as well.

Hope it goes well for you man!

I plan on bumping it up quite a bit, I want to shoot them at at least 900 , but we will see, the reg is set super low.

So, it’s a water gun! Just kidding LOL. Nice shooting.

Haha, I am not afraid to expose my stuff to the elements, never have been! :D

I remember when that new version of that rifle the biggest complaint was that there was allot of Flex in the Stock, have they addressed that issue? I have always liked the look of that Rifle.
No they haven't , it still sucks. It has a lot of flex, I see some guys on the forum saying certain reviews were exaggerated, thats not the case, for instance, what @MountainSportAirguns showed in his video, is spot on. The flex happens merely just picking the rifle up and moving it, it is all at the picatinny attachment point though, but thats still a big deal. I am going to give the 3d printed band for around the airtube a try next.

If you use a tripod with a saddle, like a death-grip, it's not an issue at all. At least that weakness doesn't cause accuracy issues, in and of itself. I am kind of surprised that no one has marketed a better stock replacement yet, it's been out for a year already.

Ok, one would think that they would have fixed it. But after reading several Reviews, that was why I did no further research into it. I remember seeing with some PB rifles the ones that free floated the barrels had that problem with their stocks. I recall the took a length of Steel Rod and epoxied it into the stock to make them more ridged. I doubt that there is enough room in that stock however to do the same?

So I took the rifle apart, honestly, nicer and easier than expected.

Set the reg to 1600, took it out and wallah! Got a worse chrono reading.

I said , this thing doesn't have enough ass on the hammer spring, so I pulled my jts out and pulled the stock hammer spring out of the bag of parts (still waiting on a barrel and I have a heavier spring for it anyways) , here's the difference in weight on the springs, the jts is quite a bit heavier. Same length too which is nice.

Loaded 5 rounds in a mag, aimed at a tree out my backdoor and boom, we there.

Time to test and fine tune this weekend.

I picked up the 22 for lots of shots on a fill and man i was disappointed. I only got 19 shots per fill before the shots started taking a dive. Got a super long allen key from Amazon for the regulator and have tried many different settings to no avail. Hammer spring had to be turned down to 880 fps. Sent it to Macavity under warranty and explained what it was doing and it was gone for 4 weeks and finally returned. I begged for a replacement rifle and they didnt do it. Note inside said it shoots fine! Im going to send it in again and try for a replacement as this thing is an expensive useless paperweight. Just my usual get a lemon luck!

Did you start a thread on this problem somewhere? I'd like to hear more details but don't want to tie up CTAirgunner's thread.
