Next time I head up to my brother's place in Oregon I'll take all the parts. Should work, but ugly and heavy.Love to hear how that one for the Texan works out.

Good for a bench, not so good for field/woods.Next time I head up to my brother's place in Oregon I'll take all the parts. Should work, but ugly and heavy.
I teed in a 40CM Tube to a plenum setup with a 20CM tube. 40CM runs along the frame.
Texan .510 has about 110cc of barrel volume. Optimal plenum is 3-4x barrel volume
40CM = 240cc
20cm = 120cc
So it should allow a regulated big bore. With a big bottle. 1.1L in the picture but 1.6l may be possible.
But adds about 6lbs to the gun.
Empty bottle is 2lbs or moreView attachment 14585

Good for hunting from a blind.
But it did work with my Condor means it has a very good chance of working with the Texan.
Where I think it all falls apart is why do you need more shots with a big bore pellet gun beyond the number of unregulated shots?
Another issue is the 3000psi limit for the tubes. I haven't looked it up but given the mass of a big bore pellet what is the starting air pressure required to accelerate it from stop to a useful FPS?the heart wants what the heart wants sometimes.

Mine is already higher as 3625 psi with CF.Another issue is the 3000psi limit for the tubes. I haven't looked it up but given the mass of a big bore pellet what is the starting air pressure required to accelerate it from stop to a useful FPS?
That damn Newton and his laws!
My bone stock Condor SS is able to get a 47.7grain slug up into the mid 800s with 2000psi. Which is good for about 75fpe.Another issue is the 3000psi limit for the tubes. I was surprised how much more power I got from the 24" barrel.My bone stock Condor SS is able to get a 47.7grain slug up into the mid 800s with 2000psi. Which is good for about 75fpe.
It's all relative, but to me, that's serious power from an airgun. But also coming from the perspective of mostly enjoying 20fpe and below airguns.
I know for many of the truly big bore crowd, 75fpe is peanuts, but I was surprised at it, relative to the psi and 18inch barrel.

Im assuming you are using a regulator. Which one?
I'm a big fan of the Huben Power MAX-ATH. Great reg and a 50cc plenum.No regulator. Pressure from 2200 to 1800 gives me a consistent string so I just cited the middle of that window when I said 2000psi.

Shoot down to 2kThat was what I was thinking.
Makes sense, can't alter the laws of physics.
Does it get below 3000?
Okay, 3000psi will work then.Shoot down to 2k
I go for shot count so on the .22 it is at 1500psi, on the .25 it is at 1750psi.@SpindleB with the u reg on the condor what numbers were you seeing? How far can it be pushed?
Would you believe I already have that on my Condor? And the fact I think I wanna take it off, and make the Condor back to its stock configuration?Now take it the next level, regulator with plenum. Huben Power Cricket Max-ATH.
.25 24" barrel is 19cc volume
optimal would be 60-80cc, but 50cc is still good.
You think it is a cannon now, set the regulator at 2500psi with a Max-ATH and push pellets over 1,000fps. Be able to drop reg pressure under 2000psi and get 850-930 depending on pellet.
Im an engineer so pushing the limits of a design might as well be in my DNA.Would you believe I already have that on my Condor? And the fact I think I wanna take it off, and make the Condor back to its stock configuration?
