I am contemplating purchasing another air rifles. I would like the most powerful benchrest capable .30 rifle. I’m not talking about the fpe. I’m referring to the ability to push heavier slugs to the broadest range of velocity. As in I don’t want a rifle that can’t launch the heavier pellets or slugs available for its caliber like the Sonoran. I’m looking hard at the Blackwolf. Large plenum and interchangeable calibers would probably be ideal. It’s really just a topic for discussion. Not interested in a single shot.

Wouldn’t an RTI Mora make the cut?

When I read that internal o-rings have an external “witness hole” their words, not mine for knowing exactly which one is leaking also some other features it sounds to me like they have serviceability in mind.

On a side note is that .35 is a beast or what? 😬.

Id wait a bit and see on the black wolf but it might be what your looking for but I don’t think you really need to necessarily worry about the heaviest pellets cause no one really seems to be shooting them instead for now id watch what new pellets are coming out. Bc is more important than a
I know what you mean about the pellets. I don’t even know why I want another rifle. But, at least I use them lol.

Black Wolf, EVOL hps, Kalibrgun Snipe ii make a pretty broad range of power. Caliber change can become very expensive and time consuming, a waste of time imo. Its a big expensive, deep rabbit hole. 😂
I know what you mean about the caliber changes. I thought i had gone down a rabbit hole, turned out to be a huge money pit, with no bottom in sight.

Food for thought. 22 ghost pushing 21.9 gr aea to 975 move 1.4” with a 90* 2mph breeze
25 cal 33.9 aea @930 move 1.6”. 90* 2mph
30 45 aea @927 move 1.3” 90* 2mph.
Untill you move to slugs and get bc of .1 to .2 its not as huge a deal and you know what its like shooting slugs its a crap shoot if they will shoot good and for how long. A well polished barrel will shoot pellets much longer.

I've given up on any more bench rest guns.
I'm saving for the Huben GK1
$650 so far after the HW50s sale and some speakers. I doubt it takes me till tax time unless my grown kids need 🤑
Maybe March or Late February. I'm going to try and not buy anything else Airgun related till then.
Sounds like a good plan!
