I said no more guns didn’t say anything about support equipment. This guy has 2 batteries and a run time of one hour. It’s not going to be my primary fill source but rather a backup for the occasional top off at home or in the field. Dana has one so why not? $359 shipped it’s a good deal in my book.

Mike, will be looking forward to your impressions as I am in the market for a direct fill compressor. Simply for the times I don’t want to mess with my SCBAs or big compressor.
It’s perfect for little tanks . It won’t have enough time to build moisture. Small inline filter should take care of any moisture

How much better vs. the single battery one ? ( EL-2)

Or is this gx ?

I’ll do a write up soon when I get it. I’ve had the single battery one so I can do a comparison

I’m also looking for something to replace my yong heng for direct fill, or just to fill my small buddy bottle on occasion. My heng will still have tank fill duties, but for the times when I just want to fill straight to the gun.
If you want to fill the occasional bottle and also direct gun the gxcs4 is a great option. I have the omega trail charger which is the same thing

I have the single battery version. It’s really small. Much better than lugging a tank around. It works great. I liked enough I bought a CX4i to use at the house. I just fill my rifle directly now.

Hi Mike, I had to replace the two small fans on my GX-E-L3 compressor but did not note the orientation regarding air flow. The top fan blows air out of the unit and the bottom fan sucks air in... correct? Is that how it is on your compressor? Thanks

I will look at it when I’m at my storage unit tomorrow most likely and let you know

Hi Rob and welcome to the forum. I've had my GX CS3 dual battery power model for about two years. It's finally wearing out after years of use. I got the GX CS4 water cooled compressor last November and use it mostly now for filling my large air tank for filling my guns. Enjoy brother!

Hi Mike, I appreciate the reply and assistance. My L3 is 3-years old. I just stripped it down, replace main piston seal, some o-rings, greased the piston housing and motor gear box. It's still running well. I think I put the two small fans in correctly but wanted confirmation. I like the ability to take the L3 and a 1-liter bottle setup in the truck with me. I'm thinking about getting the CS4-i and keeping it at home, for bigger bottle fills. I have Brocock Atomic XR .22 cal with a Zulus ZHD312R scope and an Evol .30 cal on order. The Atomic is just the right size for the pest control I do on several local farms. I'm planning a taking a trip to Texas for a hog hunt... thus the need for the .30 cal.

I found this site when looking for GX compressor maintenance information. It may be of interest to some folks.
