Hunting / Pesting Permissions…

I must confess that “all” my permissions came through my wife. She being more of a social butterfly, got to know many of the locals in our community before me. I was fortunate that for a while I had two dairies within minutes of my home. But alas, they are no more. Just found out my sweet wife has some colleagues whose relatives own a dairy. It’s further away, but an opportunity nonetheless. Am hoping to get some “active dairy” action before the end of summer. Am desperately wanting to unleash my BRKs. Wish me luck gentlemen and ladies. Never would have thought that my pesting opportunities would come through my girl.🤓🙀🙈🐀🐿️🐦‍⬛🦫🐀🦝🐁

It has been my observation as well, that getting permission to hunt dairy feedlots is a "family" thing. Without using names, my veterinarian passed on a good word, and that is the only reason why I got permission. Even then, Sundays are the only days I get to go, as there isn't any loading or unloading. They also require picking up dead game, so I'm careful not to do shots where the game lands inside the pens. Adding insult, there is only one direction one can shoot, due to surrounding structures. Not ideal, but the site is game rich!

There are always caveats when given permission to shoot on someone’s property. Over time as trust is reinforced by your actions. Those restrictions tend to loosen…
