How much time spent shooting usually?

Just wondering as I was having a great afternoon session. I am Blessed with time to shoot each day if I want to or can due to being retired. I was just wondering the average time your plinking/practice times last. Being a barrel cocker I find I get satisfied wth a half hour after set up. My range goes from 30 to 40 yds with some target variety. Just a general knowledge question. TIA, Stay well all

I shoot everyday as like you I am also retired. I also shoot a break barrel and just a few days ago got a marauder gen3. I have shot two mags out of it and stopped because my compressor has not arrived. And it's killing me!

My backyard range is 0 to 50 yards, but I could do about 60-65 max safely. I shoot around 1-3 times a week for about 2 hours each time in the summer depending on how hot it is and 3 or more times a week in the fall and winter. I am also retired so can shoot all I want. Most of my guns are single shot and I just take my time and relax. I enjoy all of it, the shooting, checking targets and filling the guns. Not in any hurry and just have a great time with all of it. I try to rotate which guns I shoot so there are no closet Queens. That also includes installing different barrels.

Not retired and work out town, when I get home I’ll get all my “Honey do’s” done ASAP and try to shoot if/when I can.

I shoot 4-5 days a week now. Got the fun range setup and work from home. Come to think of it why don't I shoot 7 days a week................

I usually shoot every day and sometimes 2-4 sessions in a day. For a while, I was even shooting late at night with night vision, until I realized I had a bear problem I mostly shoot my .30s and I’m not going to deny it, the cost of pellets has me rethinking it all. I usually shoot at 100yds. I step out of my kitchen onto my covered porch and can shoot out to 120yds. Or if I’m willing to sit at the side of my house I can reach a little over 150yds. I took early retirement and so I have time. I shot my first break barrel in 1968 when I was 7. I was hooked then, but in the last 2.5 years it became an obsession. I credit it with keeping me mentally clear and grounded, while I progressed through a cancer diagnosis and successful treatment. I have a lot to be thankful for.

This, plus a toddler. I try for a session or two a week where I can. A session can be 5 minutes or 5 hours, although the latter is far far less likely.
