Ghost How do you clean the Ghost’s barrel?

Yep its probably up around 150 you have to take the bottle off and dry fire the gun till it has no air turn the reg knob clockwise about 1/2 turn and air back up start about 130 bar and check velocity and bump up if necessary to get to where you want to be
“You’re right!”, he exclaimed, as he looked nervously over his shoulder, scanning for hidden cameras, “Just like you said, it’s just under 150!”

🙃🤣 The BRK Ghost .22 HP is probably setup for the 25.39 gn MRD from the factory and needs to be turned down to 120-130 bar and go from there to get the 18.13 gn to shoot great around 875-910 FPS on minimum power level 👍🙂

Well guess what? Took the air bottle off and dry fried it to get rid of the remaining air, then pow! The bolt locked up halfway back. I read up on it and AoA confirmed what I can do to free it up. So I took out and loosened bolts, then grabbed my big rubber mallet and carefully yet smartly, “Wham!”, I smacked it free. Right after, I had to wipe off my sweaty and shaking hands and take some nerve pills as I leaned down and whispered, “Let’s not do this again sweetheart, okay?”

From another forum where a guy had a problem with his hammer locking up.

Just talked to Darren at Airguns of Arizona and in working with him on the phone I was able to free up my jammed hammer. Pulling back harder than normal on the cocking lever didn't do the trick, but pushing the cocking lever full forward and then snapping it back as far as possible a couple of times freed the hammer on the second try.

And now Ariguns of Arizona is advising to never dry fire the BRK Ghost to a fully empty plenum, but rather dry firing it down to the 50 to 70 BAR range and stopping there to adjust the regulator down. They are going to contact Brocock BRK and ask them to modify the BRK Ghost Official Handbook to this procedure.

Whoo hoo! Just received my new Ghost .22 HP! I’d like to clean the barrel, but the drinking straw and patch worm isn’t working. I took the barrel off, stopped, and decided since I’m new at this- I’d better ask more experienced people. I’d love to hear your thoughts, suggestions, do’s and don’t’s, and methods, thanks for sharing!
Read a bunch of different posting, then I pulled the barrel, clamped it in a vice (with rubber pads), J-B Bore Cleaning with *Brass brush (it turned black), followed by patches with Hoppe's Bore Cleaner, then cotton mop with Hoppes, then Fritz Paste Polish for Metals with cotton mop till it "felt easier" to move the mop back and forth through the barrel, then patch with Hoppes then cotton mop with hoppes. FYI the barrel was extremely shiny-reflective when I was done.
FYI I use "Whiscombe Honey" to lubricate the pellets...again from reading, its seemed well vetted, easy to make, and very cost effective.
A lot of "don't ever use a brass brush in an air rifle" out there, but it's a steel barrel, and the brass is way softer. My 177 barrel was more accurate after the more thorough clean and polish then before..I didn't shoot the .22 barrel until after I did the above so no comparison, but its pellet on top of pellet at 30 yards for the few shots I had time to put down it.
