I am glad to be added to the community. I have been a member of the Airgun industry for over 30 years, and I have been following the forum since the Yellow Forum days. Now, in my new role with the ASA, I need to stop lurking in the background and jump right in. How’s the water?

I selected a somewhat whimsical screen name: Chief_Pellet_Officer. I hope I am not accused of being pretentious; I don’t purport to be an expert in any one thing—more of a generalist. However, I have spent a lot of time working on pellets.

The short answer is yes—we aim to be the advocate for all airgunners, as well as the industry as a whole. While our primary success since forming has been advancing airgun hunting state-by-state, our goal has always been to expand our reach beyond just hunting regulations.

We operate as a lean organization, so our progress is almost always driven by passionate individuals in each state. When a local advocate wants to see a change in the law, we step in to provide the industry voice and support needed to help those efforts succeed. Whether it's hunting or general use, we're here to help move the sport forward wherever there is local momentum.
