Others HAM 10-meter match - October 2026

Here is some proof that I am terrible shooting offhand. 106/200....

This was shooting a Challenger 2021 with a lasermax red dot rifle sight at 10 yards. I might change the red door for diopter sights for the last target.

I hear you John, offhand is a tough game. When cooking up this match, considered doing both seated and standing from sticks. Still hoping to one day approach competency without them, though.

Really enjoying the diopters again. Know we as a group overwhelmingly use scopes, and for good reason- but for this specific type of shooting, I don't think diopters are much of a disadvantage, if at all.

Started an offhand card tonight, but dropped the idea pretty quick. Battling a sinus infection & bronchitis. Neither is necessary for me to shoot poorly, can do that on my own... but they can take it from bad to worse!

Got a seated card completed, 290/300. Definitely satisfied with that under the circumstances.

I dont do well off hand shooting leval I do good shooting up into a tree but as soon as the gun is level I struggle more then I should

I hope that you feel better soon!

I thought the red dot would be fun (and it was) but not great for precision shooting. I will re-sight the rifle in with a set of our diopter sights the Challenger is shipped with.

Thanks!

Agree with you, dot sights are great for getting on target fast, not so great for precision.
