Ground squirrel hunting mecca

Decided to edit one of my past trips where I spent two days hunting ground squirrels. We visited a large ranch where we were able to setup camp, do some shooting and explore. The area had lots of large rock outcroppings that are typically great habitat for the ground squirrels. Tom brought out a few of his Evols and I was using the standard .22 caliber. Terry brought his Leshiy classic and we all had a pretty good few days smacking ground squirrels, I had a few shots of greatness on this one.

Some really good shots captured in that video. I am kind of surprised you were all shooting mostly pellets, except for in the new model airgun.

I have a friend who is interested in getting a hot tent too. Is the Psyclone the current, one to get? I remember you did another video with a wood stove inside and you talked about the tent a lot more, I just don't remember if that was the same brand, because that one looked really good.

Thanks, we had a great time but I unfortunately grabbed the wrong box of slugs off the shelf and ended up having to shoot pellets. The Psyclone Outbacker is very good quality, they come from Australia. You can get cheaper bell tents but the big difference is the floor..the Outbacker has like a PVC coating so the floor will last and not leak. I have a one man Pomoly tipi that's great for overnights in extreme cold weather. Both are top notch brands, get what you pay for with material and stitching. Pomoly makes decent hot tent stoves so I'd suggest your friend looking at those... otherwise a WorkTuff would be a higher end one.

Wrong box or not, you still had some nice shots. Using a less preferred ammo probably aids in concentration to get the shot right, I know that it has that effect on me. I don't take anything for granted in that scenario.
