Glad to see you figured it out. Not too pleased knowing that bolts are backing out on their own. I too found my cocking holding bolt backed out this weekend. One of the two screws of this component was backed out about halfway. The probe block was hitting it.
Franklinks review refered to that as being able to adjust the hammer dwell if I remember correctly. You might want to call aoa and ask if the position of that matters beyond probe clearance. I didn’t do anything with that when i had mine apart to change trigger spring. One of the two screws of this component was backed out about halfway. The probe block was hitting it.
I got an oring kit from amazon and that has been helpful. Also got a spring kit from amazon thats where i got my trigger springI also learned a trick to reinstalling the breach block o-rings. Don't ask how they got removed.
The one closest to probe is easy enough with a small pick. If necessary, use a small deep well socket to guide it into position from the opposite side. For the other one further into the breach, start it the best you can use the barrel to gently position it into the groove. That'll get you 90% there and the rest can be done with the trusty pick.
Learn from my mistakes.![]()
Do tell more about this o-ring kit and trigger spring. Are they generic parts or specifically for the Ghost? Also, what did they do to help your situation?I got an oring kit from amazon and that has been helpful. Also got a spring kit from amazon thats where i got my trigger spring.
Thanks for the links. I ordered the spring kit and set the o-ring kit in one of my "lists". I need to decipher the sizes on the o-rings to see how many of them are useful for my needs. Message me please about the spring you chose to lighten the trigger. I've cranked my 2nd stage weight down to the point it wouldn't cock, then backed it out a 1/4 turn and it's still too much for my liking. That will lighten trigger but im still working on it mine is 10 oz right now
I think it's the regulator or valve since it dumped all the air. That wouldn't happen with a barrel o-ring???
YesI emptied my Ghost per the instructions to lower the reg and the hammer got stuck in the forward position. It wouldn't cock because of that. Will your gun cock?
I'm a newbie to PCPs but the leak issues I've seen so far with leaks have been the main valve not seating, causing air to come out the barrel. You can put a balloon over the barrel and see if that's where it's escaping, provided you don't know where the air is escaping.
Those are tight and were not removed. I removed butt stock and hammer spring again. Everything seemed to function and was installed correctly.Check to see if you tightened this set screw
Have you gotten a resolution to this problem? Please let us know when you find out. Those are tight and were not removed. I removed butt stock and hammer spring again. Everything seemed to function and was installed correctly.
Aired up and the leak still seems in the middle of the body. I’ll take over to AoA and see what they find.
