Bill, you need to stop fighting yourself. Turn that reg up to at least 150. Your first shot is slow because your reg is creeping, that is why it's reading a little high at first too. Putting your reg higher will usually not make your creep any worse and the extra pressure could stop it altogether, although with an Amp that's unlikely and probably overly optimistic on my part. My point is you need to really work them to get good work out of them. Worry about shot count after you get it shooting consistently and well, not before. If what you're doing isn't, or hasn't, been working, stop doing that. I don't know about the Amp reg because I pulled it out of my gun first thing and put in a Huma, but I do know that the Huma had instructions for how to do the washer stack for different pressure ranges and I think your Amp is sounding like it's not in its comfortable range to me. If I was using that reg and was really Jonesing to shoot in the 100bar range I would change the washers up in it to make it more responsive at those settings. Yeah, it's a deep dive, but you're one of those guys that does just fine with this stuff. I adjusted my Ninja regs on my Gauntlet, it's easy to do, just a pain with all the airing down and checking, but you only go through it once.

I agree. I bumped the reg up to 140 b as soon as i got the drs its been there since and i get sd’s of 2 and no first shot drop

I think @Solo1 and @Pumacarl are both right. I just started my best 100yd group ever. Right up until shot 5 then it went yo crap, but still extremely good. I raised the reg to 122.5bar - that’s just where it landed. Ended up at 1007fps. Turned hammer spring until it was at 950fps. It crept back up a little. I shot it anyway. First four shots were on top of each other - less than .156”. Shot the remaining four and ended up with 1.11 MOA. I’ll shoot here a little bit and then maybe increase it.

So, I filled up and let the air rifle settle for 30 minutes and I get a 10 shot group that strings across 4” for the first five shots and then groups nicely for the last five. I didn’t see the wind if it was there lol. Unfortunately? I’m headed off for an MRI and can’t shoot anymore. I’m pretty sure I’m going to be told that I have “shooters neck” lol.

Go up higher on the reg. Good luck with your neck problems! Two of my brothers had neck surgeries, they're no joke, but if I was to joke about it I'd say they're a pain in the neck! Sorry, the wisecracking is reflexive sometimes. Getting old sucks and a good sense of humor really helps sometimes.

It's like the ELR 40.7 ZAN hyper lines, nobody is saying a thing. The 30something grain version is getting some good comments, but nothing on the other.

I agree with @Pumacarl about them using the softer aluminum in the block. I swapped the grip to the vertical grip. I had a little difficulty. Whomever installed it cross threaded the threads. I used a 6mm tap as a thread chaser to straighten it out.

Not to be a dick about it, but I really have to strongly disagree with their construction getting better. That is my biggest complaint. A well made gun shouldn't need so much loctite. Also, let's look at choice of materials. They come out with the Leopard with a 6061 tube which can only do 230b and say they will be out with a cf one later that will do 250b. Why? Barra used 7075 on their cheap guns airtube and showed up taking 250b. FX wanted to make extra money down the road and then canned the cf tube altogether screwing up everyone who was planning to buy one. I know, because I thought I would. I like my FX but I'm not making any excuses for them either, they know what they're doing.

The drs and panthera have parts much more solidly attached to each other than the m3 and mav they have more shift than the others with temp changes. I know my m3 wasn’t worth a dam till i put an airmarksman top rail on which is almost 2x as thick as the stock piece.

The blocks of these guns should be 7075 for what they're charging. Especially when it is being used as a stressed part like on the Dynamic and Panthera versions, maybe because the King uses a stock, you could say that it doesn't need it, but again these things ain't cheap. This is why I wanted a King chassis and not just a Dynamic or Panthera.

Well it should go for a little more than because it shoud be 7075. That is why I bought a Paradigm before an FX. He knows how to build a gun right. Yeah, it ain't cheap, but it's what I expect at this level. A little extra money now for something significantly better to last down the road sounds like a lot better deal than saving a couple hundred now and being stranded later.

But then look at his barrel woes he’s getting there with them but he struggled there in the beginning.
