Alright, I need some help…. Quick!
I fly out in 5 days to hunt iguana in South Florida, I’m taking my FX Dynamic Compact in .25.
The guide has advised me that he has seen people drop their rifles in the water multiple times and that a sling is critical to keep it secured to your body.
The good, I put a BCM QD socket at the front of the rifle, it is PERFECT. The bad, I can’t find any product for sling attachment at the rear.
I just made a paracord wrap with a loop off the right side to attach the other end of my Magpul sling to. It felt *chef’s kiss* perfect. Quick to pull up and get on target, comfortable (as it can be with the gauges in your stomach lol) when at rest, and looks pretty dang good.
The problem with my para hanger? The weight of the rifle combined with motion starts loosening the bottle on the rifle.
Does anyone have any ideas? The only things I can think of is to move the loop to the top, or possibly the left, which would put pressure clockwise to tighten instead of counterclockwise as it currently is.
