Others FX DRS What say you with experience?

FX DRS Classic in .22 has been tugging at me for a while. What has been your experience with the DRS? I am interested in staying with the 18.1 grain pellet or 15.89. These both have worked well in other rifles for field and target. I presently have an Air Arms S500 and Daystate LH Regal in .22. The Regal is pretty stiff to cock having arthritis. Are you satisfied out of the box or need adjustment / upgrades? Thanks.

500mm or 600mm. likely 600mm.

600mm is a nice balance...the 700 if you add a moderator becomes a fishing rod

If you are going to stay with 18 gr id get the 500 as it will need a silencer which will make it 600 long. The 500 with a silencer i can carry buy the grip barrel down and not hit the ground and will have decent power and shot count for hunting. For plinking just carry a small bottle and shoot for quite a while

Buddy I shoot with has the DRS Pro and the rifle can get quite long. BUT!!!!!!! The rifle can shoot great!

Now if you are going to stick with the 18.1 grain pellets I would go for the 500mm set up. Will make for a much easier rifle to move around and handle.

I bought a DRS Classic MK1 (walnut) .22 500mm bbl two years ago. It loves JSB 18.1 Jumbo's. It's got some bark to it so I put a Donny FL TATSU on it, It's my Brown Rat & Squirrel Eliminator and It excels at that. The 500mm bbl even with the moderator on it shoulders well. I'm getting close to 40 useable shots per fill, and I have no regrets with my purchase!
