PCP Eyeballing an Air Arms HFT500

i like the idea of slugs for longer range of you can get a flatter tragectry and when needed pick up more enegery.
but i dont think the gun makers have realley welcomed hole hardley or at least we dont see it in the market just yet maybe a few but not olver whelmingly wide speed.
for what me and the wife do in the back yard pellets work for us.
i would like a slug gun but i dont need it.
but i am saving for for so when the time comes maybe i can do it? that is if some other gun doesnt eat the funds?
LOL

Lol that FX gonna be sweating if you buy this! Absolutely recommend it if you can swing it..... we won't talk about if you should or not that's a you problem 😅 The S-series AA are so smooth they often get complained about being too 'dead'. If single loading and regulation is preferred then go s500. Much bigger loading slot. If u want the (2) mags and regulation S510 all the way. Once you decide that you have plenty of stocks to pick from! Imagine the accuracy of your TX. Except better. And 10 rounds. No recoil. Just as pretty. The S510 is the best all around. Bench? yup, hft? yup. Hunting? BIG YUP!
you can add a Rowan Engineering manual rotary magazine to any of the S500 platforms that load from the right side.

The only air arms i own and have shot much is a 2012 ev2 12 fpe and an amazingly accurate gun. My revere is just as accurate as my red wolf the edge going to the red wolf for hunter field target because of its weight. Its steadier on the styx but then again the revere is a touch better offhand. I would guess the air arms is accurate but how it handles i can’t say.
Having owned a few ghost(s) and a few AA s series rifles... I've discovered that i just do better with a traditional rifle than a bullpup style rifle... just my body i suppose. I only own two AA platforms at this point, an HFT S500 in a PRS chassis and an XTI-50 in the black stock, both are <12 fpe which is a struggle for someone used to shooting <20 fpe platforms, but shooting <12 fpe does teach you to read the wind better. I find my HFT S500 barrel dirties up after less than a tin, maybe half a tin and needs cleaning to maintain accuracy... i suppose i should find someone to lap and polish and wax the barrel.

When I shot BR, I cleaned the barrel after each card. 1/2 tin is waaaay too long unless you are plinking. Nice gun BTW. I have an HFT too. Its accuracy is superb!
