Is there any benefit to a bolt with an extended probe on a Crosman 1377, or are they just hype? Any documented cases of increased velocity or enhanced accuracy? Thanks.

Wouldn't mind knowing that answer myself. I have a new 362, that I had the steel receiver added, and new high powered valve and other things replaced before I even shot it...Everything but the extended bolt probe. I have never seen anyone but the sellers talk them up myself.

The purpose of extended or flow-through bolt is to placed the pellet pass the TP. The stock bolts are shorter and do not accomplish this.
I prefer the flow-through type as it positions all styles of pellets at the same depth in the chamer regardless the design of the rear interior of the pellet.
