EVOL HPS EVOL Mini 30 hps ! Sneak Peek

Agree as well, whether it's an AAA or 3rd party sleeve.
The Evol does have a great look with a fatter barrel shroud sitting closer to the air cylinder, that's for sure. In a previous post somewhere, Tom said the original style Evol barrels would be available for purchase. So whether buying a Mini 30 with fluted barrel or sleeved or buying a barrel kit going on the pellet shooters, we're all in for a slug-shooting treat.

Tom said the original EVOL was going to be around.
not the barrel.

Per my reference to getting a tensioned slug barrel, at the bottom of page one, post 18, Tom states,

"There are a few changes to this.

Hunter will be a 21" Sub-Moa barrel and the Mini Sub-Moa as well. Due to the new one piece design of these barrels they will not be tensioned as we are getting better performance out of the tapered design.

We will offer an 18" "super light tensioned" barrel from Sub-Moa as an option.

Also, all AAA Sub-Moa barrels use a new and improved moderator attachment."

Jeez,

Shroud, no shroud, different silencer end cap...blah! The picture of the whole rifle looks right.

Most importantly, let's get some idea of accuracy from that fluted, unshrouded barrel and volumetric efficiency of the rifle.

Performance first, you can love or be annoyed by the looks, but performance first.

yes I did see that and Tom mention it in one of our chats but that a 18" if I was wanting a hunting gun that would be longer then I would want.
I think the best small game gun Tom has made as been the 15" EVOL and this is a view MANY of us share.
but what I want is the HPS : )
and I still don't think its got the look, but that's just my humble view and it is Solely intended to be constructive input for future, and I think Tom knows that.

well if I but a costly sports car I better look good and perform

but this is my view, it will be a view many others will share.
I doubt it will effect rather or not someone does or doesn't buy the gun. I mean its not like I don't already one or more LOL
I wouldn't make to much of it but if people don't make their views known then know one will know.

Can I get one in .25cal?
He currently only makes 22 and 30. There were talks of a 25 coming out, but no more info on it. Honeslty, 25 is getting to be a lost caliber these days. With high power slug aligning 22’s having flatter trajectory, then 30 cal being the go to for medium game, the 25 is becoming lost in the world of hunting. Plinking may be a different matter.

I disagree with that take, Nikolai Boldov is shooting a new .25cal 40 grain pellet that is not available yet and did very well with it this last year. Also, altaros slugs best BC slug is a .25cal. I’ve killed wild pigs with .25cal. .30cal for pesting might as be throwing money in the fire to keep warm with how many critters I get to shoot.

Think what you want. Evol won comps this year. Non of them being 25. It’s a preference, not fact.

I want a .25. I always did, and still do. I still think it is the best one caliber for my type of pcp use. Owning several .22's and a Paradigm .30 hasn't changed my view on that one bit. I don't care what everyone else is doing, or what's trending.
I have a .22 15, Magnon .30 and a Paradigm .30 and the 2 Evols are just a pleasure to hunt with. That being said, most of my guns are .25 as seems to cover more of the bases between hunting, plinking and targeting. Tom has my vote for a .25!
