PCP Diana Bandit Regulated

I bought my Bandit several years ago. I immediately liked it but the extreme fps spread was a bit bothersome. I worked with it and was able to get 21 decent shots but with a 97 fps spread. So just for plinking.
I had thought of putting a regulator in it but didn’t care for the Altros one sold on PA. I did some research and decided to install a Lane regulator. I had never done this before so I read a lot of articles and watched a few videos to prepare myself.
The process went much better than I had anticipated. Just over an hour and it was back together and aired up. Put some shots over the chronograph and was only getting around 460 fps. Removed the air and went to remove the regulator. I had forgotten to install the little ring at the top of the regulator. So I had to disassemble the pistol, remove the regulator, adjust the pressure and remember to use the ring this time. Reassembled and tried again and again and again. Only wanted to do all of this once so I wanted it as perfect as I could get.
I now have a Bandit that shoots H&N FTT at 570 fps with a deviation of 7 fps. This pistol is a tack driver. I have a cheap dot sight mounted (astigmatism) and I can shoot hole in hole at 20 yards. It is accurate out to 40 yards but my eyes aren’t good enough for targets at that range just plinking. Want to put a Weihrauch pistol scope on it but having difficulty finding one.
I now get 28 great shots from my Bandit and have a hard time putting it down. The project was a little daunting at first but the rewards were so worth it. Don’t be afraid to tinker just do your research beforehand.

I briefly watched a video on the Diana Bandit PCP, they mentioned that installing a regulator reduces the capacity of the tank but reading your results dis proves that. I ordered the Bandit .22 and will receive it in a couple days. The only mods I'm going to do to it is maybe hand grip if my hand does not fit the grip. I will be swaping the left hand cocking lever/breach with the right hand cocking lever/breach from my Diana Chaser pistol.

I recently got my Bandit. converted it to a Bandit Black using the Chaser rifle kit and put the rifle barrel on the bandit. Within a week, I stretched the hammer spring for more power. Now highest velocity has been 926FPS. Today I ordered a Lane regulator for the bandit. A little steep at a price of $114 with free shipping butI could not find a Altaros regulater to save my life.

The Diana Chaser KIT in CO2 is the best bargain on the planet. My Grandkids play with it every time they come over.
