Others Daystate - New Offerings?

It was AGS. I went down to see them in person vs buying online or over the phone. If I'm laying out that kind of money I want to put my hands on the rifle first. I do my homework before buying anything but you can't beat a first hand inspection. It doesn't sound like he's sold a lot of the Deltas in Canada so it's tough to find someone that will answer questions or let you put your hands on the actual thing. I've been quite happy with my dealings with Travis @ AGS over the years. He told me the ultra valve was a free upgrade with a new rifle so I jumped on it immediately lol. My only complaint would be with Daystate and their case. It fits the Delta 23" barrel perfectly. I bought the PRS butt piece and I'm going to have to either remove it or buy a different case. I don't want to cut the remaining little bit of foam on either end of the rifle to make it fit otherwise the barrel end and butt piece are banging into the hard plastic of the case.
Ha, same as me, drove 3 hours to pick up my Ghost in person, Travis is the man! The delta wolf is a tough sale for sure. Same performance as the ghost for 1k more. Or look at it this way, if your spending that much on one many people will consider the Red Wolf or Alpha wolf instead. Travis told me the Ghost is an amazing gun but it has put a huge dent in the sales of other Brk models they sell.

I've already got a Red Wolf in .177. I wanted a back-up rifle for FT (plus it was new toy time) and I knew I wouldn't be happy with something that wasn't at least the equivalent of the RW. I like the RW trigger and the DW trigger is very similar. 8 got my old Sidewinder 6-24 on it for now but I haven't had the time to shoot enough to get things completely sorted out and find the preferred speeds for the JSB 10.3. I'm surrounded by farm field without much cover and the wind has been blowing pretty good unless I start about 6am when its calm.

Difference between Delta and Ghost is only $400, so that could be justified much easier than $1000 at AOA. The Ghost is definitely nice for most people. I had one briefly and hated the trigger (more of a hunting trigger) but I do know there are people that can turn it into a good trigger.
At least for me, looking at the Delta/Ghost style, the Red Wolf is a different setup and I would argue a different tool not fitting what I’m looking for (I have owned 2 of them). The Alpha to me is different enough as well, as I wouldn’t want the pretty stock. I would much rather have the tactical Delta and an ARCA rail and it would be much more useful to me than the pretty Alpha.
A Red Wolf with the upgrades from the Alpha in a chassis… now I could be converted back to a rifle style.

The PRS butt piece will fit in the case 👍🙂

Whhaaa your kidding!? Up here the ghost is $2900 and the Delta is just over 4k😳....no comparison on prices for really not much more performance (yes quicker to tune I get that, and easier to fine tune) Red Wolf is definitely a very different (more traditional) style of gun. I wonder does the Delta shoot slugs well? For the cost I would hope so.

Like others, I’m saving my money for the next traditional style rifle that will replace the Red Wolf. I appreciate that Daystate still spends R&D on the 177 caliber.
