Can anyone confirm what the current stock offerings at retail “probably” have on the shelves as it pertains to Evols and the upgrades we have heard about the last couple years?

Did the adjustable reg ever make into rifles? The cocking lever? Based on the rifles I have seen on the forums, I’m thinking not, but trying to confirm. I think I’ve only seen the examples of specific rifles being upgraded. Yes, I know I can call and ask the 3-4 places with them in stock, but curious if it is worth my/their time.

It sounds like the updates are still in process for various reasons (move, barrel manufacturing, etc), and so the first time we will get those changes is with new stock hopefully in the next several months, but not in what is already on retailers shelves. Is that right?

I have tried lots of different rifles from many different manufacturers, but AAA is one of the few I haven’t tried. I keep putting it off and saying maybe one day, and I guess I’m finally at the point where I want to actually try one instead of trying some of the other rifles I have already tried and been disappointed in.

Thanks in advance if you know anything.

I've checked AAA dealers (AoA, Baker Airguns, and High Pressure Pneumatics) and haven't seen any of the new stuff offered yet. I've only looked at their websites and not actually called/emailed them so I'm not sure. I'll just enjoy what I have in the meantime.

I'll second that. I haven't seen anywhere that has stock. The few threads in this forum should update you. Owning several high end airguns I managed to pick up a pristine Evol used. Definitely worth it. Likely not my last.

To be clear, I’m not looking for newest models. I’m just curious if the 2-3 vendors that have stock might possibly have any of the upgrades that have been discussed for over a year. Or if none of those upgrades ever came out and we only get them with the new models we are waiting for.

The different upgrade parts that you saw on the forums were being tested for function, quality and everyday use. Some parts were purchased and some loaned by AAA to field test. Currently, the upgrade parts are being put into production by AAA, assembled on new model Evols. As for the different upgrades being sold as parts for existing Evol's, you'd have to contact a dealer or AAA and request a quote.

More upgrades coming very soon.

Externally Adjustable Reg will be available in Feb.
Hammer/cocking will be available in Feb.
Plenum extension are available to dealers now.
Barrel kits in March.
Can these items be installed on any of the prior gen Evols? My recollection is that they can, but want to be sure.

I am a pellet shooter and don’t have much use for slugs, so I would be happy with an older model (probably 22). I don’t like to tinker much, and am more of a set it and forget it guy. That being said, with the way the 21-22gr ammo has been performing in many rifles of late (in what I think is a similar twist rate), I would want to be sure to test those against the 25RDs if I got a 22. Being able to get at the regulator adjustments much easier would be a major winner if I can still have that with the older Evol.

Thanks!

I forget what this adjustment is for. Transfer port or valve spring?

I believe it was said to.be it was an adjustable balanced valve similar to the Slayer's for more or less air power. It was described somewhere, but I can't find it now. The hammer spring adjustment is a wheel at the back end of the reciever.1000007055.jpg

Isn't that for the hammer spring? Also, will there still be a locking grub screw for the HS underneath the upper receiver like the old version?

To be a little more clear on how the balanced valve works in the Slayer, this adjuster sets an air flow rate for the valves movement, giving it more or less power.
The balanced valve is only on the new HPS, right? Not the other EVOL’s.
Did the old HPS have the same valve as the regular EVOL?
