So having the chance to shoot some Airgun brands that I overlook a lot of times I may have come across my next new air gun, and it is nothing that I expected to be of interest to me. I have to blame Wolfmangreg for bragging up his Challenger modded by Airgun Revisions. I was about to just walk on past the Crosman tent when I remembered reading Wolfmangreg’s report on the Challenger. It just so happened there was one setting there on the table aired up and a tin of pellets just waiting for me to take a few shots. I have to admit it was a great little low powered airgun which was very accurate at 10 yards and even reminded me of my Ruger Precision powder burners. I have not shot a airgun without the aid of a scope and found the peep sights worked very well even with my old tired eyes. I have been blessed to own some very nice air rifles and really enjoy what they are capable of, but I really fell for the Chalkenger and the simplicity of the peep sights, the light weight, 300 shots out of the small air cylinder and honestly was just a blast to shoot. I actually went back the next day it was so much fun. It would be a great basement ten meter gun for those long winter months and or those evenings after work when it so hot and humid, and want to shoot but don’t want to drag everything out to the range. I think I will be able to convince myself yet to purchase one of these for the pure simplistic fun of it!!

Still thinking on the Challenger, will be used pretty much for indoor shooting during the long dreary winter months in Ohio. The longest distance would be 25 yds at indoor range but mostly in my basement at 10 yards or less. I hear great things in regards to Airgun Revisions HFT tuning but trying to decide if it would be worth it for my limited use and just use my points and order from Crosman? Anyone want to comment??

Always brings a smile to my face knowing I enabled another airgun er :devilish:

Rich does outstanding work so I'll not hesitate to recommend him. That said, you could always send a stock Challenger to him later, if you like it but want to extract the most it has to offer.

I live in South Central Ohio it really only got cold once last year. I honestly think it is worth it, but I do have an airgun addiction at this point or so I have been told

I might be slightly biased since I designed it, but I think you should get one. I have a Challenger top end on my Field Target Marauder. I also keep a stock Challenger in my office to plink with.

If you want and upgrade, see Rich @ Airgun Revision and have hime tune it up.

Ive got one out here in the UK
Our Crosman importer had five to evaluate and I was lucky to have a great local RFD who snagged one for me.
Not sure we are getting them officially so Im on my own with it and its my first Crosman to boot 😎

Yes, you are biased, but well deserved. After putting over 10,000 rounds through this little treasure, I can confidently say, good job!
