Coming Soon – The Reximex Daystar

The Reximex Daystar is another new Turkish PCP air rifle that’s scheduled to land at Pyramyd AIR at the end of August 2025.

HAM reviewed the Reximex Throne Gen 2 Compact in September 2024. We liked it a lot and it earned a 87% score and Gold Award for its performance on test.

The Daystar takes an unusual position in the market by being available in multiple stock versions. There’s a choice of black synthetic stock or Turkish Walnut. In addition, there’s laminated stock models available in both orange and blue colorways.

All stocks include an adjustable cheek piece and buttpad. They are also equipped with sling swivel studs, which will please many hunters

Whatever the stock, the action is the same!

The Reximex Daystar is available in .22 and .25 calibers. It’s a sidelever-action, magazine-fed PCP with a 3,625 PSI (250 bar) maximum fill pressure. The HPA tube has a capacity of 260 cc.

Pyramyd’s specs call for a maximum Muzzle Energy of 36.3 Ft/Lbs in .22 caliber and 40.7 Ft/Lbs in .25 cal. There’s an adjustable transfer port so that these figures easily can be lowered if required by the owner.

Pyramyd is also calling for the Daystar to achieve up to 84 shots “at optimal velocity” in .22 caliber. In .25 cal, the number is 70. As with a number of other Turkish PCPs that will be available soon in the USA, the Daystar is unregulated.

Another interesting feature is that the Daystar’s barrel is un-shrouded. Instead there’s an air stripper fitted to the muzzle.

The Daystar’s pricing reflects the varying costs involved in stock manufacturing. In black, synthetic form, it’s priced at $399.99, including two magazines and a female quick-disconnect fill adapter. The Turkish Walnut stock version (which would be my choice) is $479.99.

Both orange and blue laminated stock models are $599.99. Yip, laminated stocks are beautiful and strong, but the cost of the wood is significant. The scopes shown in these photographs are an additional-cost item, of course.

Chief, they are both made in Turkey so they may share some components.

That's what I was thinking. I almost bought the Beeman built by KRAL but then I read that the parts were not interchangeable, and they stopped making parts all together.

I see that in several other areas. Chinese ODM builds the same basic product for several companies. But each design has slight differences, usually in the packaging, that make them incompatible with each other.
