Chinese Stuff? Not In This Lifetime.

Whether someone buys Chinese PCPs or not, they’ve pushed the entire industry forward. AEA, Huben, JTS, and Snowpeak closed the performance gap and forced the big brands to improve. They also made PCPs affordable for people who don’t have $1,000+ to spend. Competition is good for everyone.
Exactly. They can and do make guns that will hold their own against more expensive brands and I can afford them. If you can afford better, I don't hate you. I'll just keep shooting what I can afford.

Nailed it. One side of the industry keeps the other side in check. (Price vs features vs quality/feel of product, and finally quality control)
Lets use AirForce as an example: Imagine a world with only AirForce pcps in it...
-What might a Condor cost nowadays with no competition?
-Would the 50cal TexRex exist? (Thank you AEA)
-Would AF FINALLLY be putting AK grips, and PIC rails on their guns?
Would they be offering slug barrels now?
With no competition prices often soar, innovation stagnates, and quality of workmanship can easily go down as there is only one option on the market. As long as its not a direct copy, there is after-sales support, and the equipment is safe to the end user, im all for it.
I'd hate to see airgunning become a rich person only hobby.

Uncle Xi and his buddies have been trying to copy the European and American airguns for a long, long time. I am not saying they are not finally learning how to make a decent airgun, but they have not done such yet. From what I can tell, the only thing they have going for them is the price.

Have I tried some of the newer Chinese airguns? No. My collection is large enough and I do not wish to give my hard-earned dollars to Uncle Xi.

So you're saying that you have NOT tried what you are talking about, but you have an option that it is inferior in everything but price? Um.....................OK

That's great that we can feel self righteous enough to make statements like that. It's a blessing.
But for those that want to have fun and don't have much money, they are a perfect choice.
It's like Audio, Chinese like it also. Shooting, they like that too. Cars those too.
It's Ok for them to make rifles, I hold no grudges.
