Bulldog Takes a Bite Out of a Raccoon

I know people have given these animals the moniker "trash panda" but there isn't much trash around this area. people who live here mostly burn their garbage. Some take it to disposal sites. I don't see many garbage cans sitting outside. Animals would have your trash all over your property if they did that out here. To me the worst a raccoon out here can eat is carrion and they will eat some.

Man, I feel like a missing out Northerner… Let me eat it and tell me afterwards what I et… Like my first taste of cottontail rabbits in the South Bronx back in the 1960s. All via my dad’s southern Army friends… I was so lucky…

@JimT66 Well I hear people comment on the size and volume of rats in NYC, so I'm thinking maybe they were an alternative meat. I don't know anything about NY. I've never been.

I've been a couple of times. I prefer living here in the South. I would be jailed quick up there. Roof rabbits are Cats. At least, that's what they were called during the Great Depression by a Lotta older folks around Columbus Ohio, according to my grandmother.

Yes, cottontails, cornbread, black eyed peas… I was born in 1961 West Farm Road, along the Bronx River there were lots of fallow fields, apple trees, squirrels, rabbits, etc. And from my Caribbean heritage have chomped on Goat, Pigs (tripe, blood sausage, feet, ears, etc.), My grandmother raised pigeons and hogs for eating.
