IMG_1078.webpI notice a lot of people customize their evols with different stocks. but almost no one replaces the buffer tube. Form over looks I guess . Pictured here in blue. I think it adds a nice touch.

I only own airguns so i didn’t know the buffer tube could be replaced until i got this Evol mini.

I'm expecting a new Evol HPS .30 with the 18 in. barrel when it gets released. I have an Arken EPL4 for it, I've been on the fence trying to decide if I really need a set of adjustable rings.

You'll find that all the grips and parts that attach to your Evol reciever can interchange with AR mill spec parts. There's an overabundance of AR choices, for full customization. I added an AR folding adapter and short stock that came with its own buffer tube to my full sized Evol 30. There's a small Discovery HD 2-12×24 on the gun now, making it really light.

I know, yet I still see adjustable mounts on some Evols in pictures. I'll probably end up getting a good set of fixed mounts, preferably a lightweight set.
You won't need an adjustable set of rings unless you want to be at zero at a specific yardage and also be perfectly optically centered on the scope, or you want a lot of dial-ability set up on the turret for long range shooting. It seems like with the Evol's most good scopes will be close to centered around 40 to 50 yards. It was also close to spot on with just bolting on my Primary Arms SLX 3X MicroPrism. (I like a 40 yard zero for it's small holdover between 15 and 45 yards. It's basically an inch of arc, great for hunting.)

I had to have them on my EVOL when using the Hawke scopes they lack the range to get zeroed at the 30 yards I wanted to be honest I dont think I could have at 50. not needed with the Athlon scopes I now use ( with one exception on my .30 EVOL and that will change ) so I would say it depends on the scope
