Ghost BRK Ghost power range?

Can the ghost be tuned down to 12 FPE with a .177 barrel kit and then switched to a .25 barrel kit to shoot high power without modifications?
Well you would need a carbine barrel, very low reg pressure, and a different (chopped or custom) hammer spring to even get close. I have heard though it is not a happy gun at 12ftlbs. There are people on here that have tried it I believe ...@Franklink comes to mind. Also I find your handle a bit concerning 🤣 welcome to HAM!

LOL it’s not a serious handle just a joke. Do you know if anyone is shooting one for HFT? Like the 10.3 grainers at 20fpe?

It is, but you will find out once you get a 👻 set up “perfect” it is hard to change it if you compete….I have 1 👻 set up for bench rest and leave it as is, then another 1 I use for pesting and testing other 👻 barrels….

Yeah, I only plan on using it once in awhile for HFT. I have a high end field target gun. Mainly will leave it as a .25cal and dabble a bit with .177 when I’m not shooting benchrest.

Id be very comfortable swapping barrels here and there (not a daily/weekly thing mind you🤭) with my Ghost. I mean even swapping ammo often means 10/15 mins on the bench to see where your at again at ranges you plan to shoot. I would write down H. W. setting, ammo weight, reg pressure and then you have a setting to start with. I plan to run a .22 slug barrel outta mine and am hoping it will also shoot pellets just as well as 23".... If not I could always swap the 23 back, a .30 cal barrel also interests me greatly. In .177 the 👻 can definitely be dialed nicely to 18/20fpe but 12 (or sub12) would be a struggle.

Sounds like the ghost will be a perfect fit for me!

The ghost can go to 12 fpe with the 17” barrel and a 600 25 will push 33.9 gr to 930 anyway. You will have to change hammer springs so get the spring kit. I have a 25 with 22 barrel and a 28” 177 barrel on way my other 1 is set for field target 177 hp 115 bar 13.4 jsb @ 810 19.5 fpe lightest hammer spg

Power range for Ghost that I've personally experienced is 61fpe in .22, down to 17-18fpe in .177. The 61fpe is with the normal 0.051" wire hammer spring that comes on a .22 HP, and the 23" barrel, so pretty vanilla. I'm sure heavier hammer springs and the 28inch barrel would push a .22 even higher.

And have heard of multiple folks go down to sub12fpe, not to mention the UK (although those are tamper proof and restricted to sub12 so not apples to apples with the Ghost that we're working with here in the US).

As others above stated, large power swings need hammer springs swapped, and reg pressures adjusted.
