Others Benjamin trail break barrel pistol

Received today. Out of the nox the barrel is locked in fire position. Cannot break the barrel to cock.

Safety is in safe.

Put it in fire to assure it was not shipped cocked.

Tried without and with cock assist tool

It just wont budge. I know there is a break in period, but i cant even start.

Recommendations other than returning it.

Welcome to HAM! I had a Crosman nitro piston rifle that I swore, had the same problem when I got it. If you watched the video on that pistol on PyramydAirs website, you see the guy putting on the cocking aid and absolutely slamming down on it to break the action open. Well, that wasn't theater, sometimes it does take a very sharp smack like that to break the action. I thought I was going to break my hand doing that to my rifle, so I imagine the pistol might really be a bear. I actually worked on the action to make it easier. Anyways, don't hold back on smacking that thing is the only advice I've got. Good luck!

I am far from an expert on that model. It might need a good smack as Pumacarl suggested. You can also reach out to Crosman customer service on Tuesday and see if they have any suggestions.
