My Hatsan USA order finally came in this week, and I got to try out my new Model 25 Supertact. Boy is it a turd. 1-in groups at 10yds (rested on the back of a chair), with as much as 50 fps delta with the same pellets. The trigger is... Interesting. Talk about a surprise break... There's a fair bit of grinding take-up, and then SURPRISE! I don't feel like I have control over when the shot breaks, which is certainly not helping the group size. I think it's an adjustable trigger though, and I haven't messed with it yet.

The cocking effort is lighter than I expected. Their website claims it's 58lbs, but either I don't know my own strength, or it's closer to 25lbs. It has an auto-engaging safety, which has a very gritty, and heavy motion. It's actually unpleasant to disengage with my fingertip as I prepare to fire. Much more comfortable to push away with the second joint of my index finger before I get into firing position, or with my support hand thumb. If I work on this thing, I'll definitely have to see about smoothing that out, and possibly putting a pad or something on it. It's by far the worst safety I've ever used. But it does work.

I bought this gun as a rat-in-a-trap dispatcher. I wanted a single-stroke gun with enough power to do the job reliably. It has LESS power than my Snowpeak CP2 CO2 gun (with the long barrel installed). It's advertised at 8fpe, so I was seeing 77.5% of that at best (light pellets), 56.3% at worst (heavy pellets). To say I'm disappointed is an understatement. I wish I had waited until it was back in stock at Amazon so I could return it, instead of getting it straight from Hatsan USA.

Airgun Detective on YouTube says he has a lot of problems with Hatsan seals... Maybe I'll tear it down and look for issues, and see if I can adjust a second stage into that trigger.

They are built like sand paper but they work when the kinks are worked out. I've had a few of them including one break barrel and many of their pcps. Don't expect perfection but they do the job.
I knew I wasn't getting Anschutz, but at $200 I was expecting Gamo or Crosman. I've been waiting most of a month to try this thing out because they sent me the wrong order the first time. They sent me refurbs, a Model 65 and a Model 95. They both felt really nice. I didn't get to shoot them since they weren't mine (though I was tempted), but I told them I'd keep that Mod 65 instead of getting my refurb Zada if they wanted. They ignored that part!

I've seen mixed reviews on the Supercharger and Supertact... Hopefully with a little TLC, I can turn this one into a one of the good ones.
