I have owned a Benjamin Cayden .22 for nearly three years and I have to say that it is such a solid entry level gun that it is probably my most recommended airgun for new shooters that want a reliable, unregulated affordable option (under 500). I have had really good luck with two specific pellets and one slug in particular, so I thought I'd name drop them here for new shooters looking for ammo to test out. But first make sure to clean your barrel!

Pellets:
Daystate Range master Sovereigns work really well 18.13gr
Crosman 19gr

Slugs:
NSA 17.5gr

To this day I've never had an issue with the rifle but, like I said, clean the barrel because that thing was as dirty as can be.

I get about 60 shots per fill and usually I'm shooting mid to high 800s.

My Cayden has some super cool tiger striping in the stock. I love it. The Cayden is one of those fantastic airguns that slips through everyone’s radar. I think it’s one of the most solid builds out there in this price range. I love it.
I absolutely agree. The machining inside, like all Turkish rifles I've seen, can be pretty gnarly, but as long as they hold air I am happy. Pound for pound it's an excellent rifle

I also have a Cayden. 3 years next month. I thoroughly enjoy this gun. Build quality is excellent. The cocking action is very smooth. Had to get a Donny FL Ronin moderator immediately though. This gun was loud. Now it is whisper quiet. I am using Air Arms 18’s in mine. Rather pellet picky. Recently found that Apolo Air Boss 18’s also shoot well.

Shoot any 17.5gr slugs out of it?

The H&N Hornets shoot very well in my Cayden with devastating impact. Have taken a few Racoons with them. Thought the .22 was not heavy enough for coons but a friend has an HW50 in .20 who shoots them at 20 yards with good results. Still being skeptical I got some Hornets which I know are accurate in this rifle(Pricey though). First shot (head of course) at 37 yards blew the coon off the trash bin and it was dead before it hit the ground. Have cleaned up my night raider problem and am back to shooting Air Arms 18.1. This rifle is very accurate and powerful. Like the power selector. Have mine shooting 18.1’s at 875 fps with an extreme spread of only 7 fps! I have regulated guns that don’t do that well. I have put thousands of pellets through it(I shoot every day that weather allows). It works flawlessly every time. Also has a very good trigger. I agree that this rifle is underrated. It does everything they say it will.

I am looking at getting one of these rifles . as for parts where to get them was told benjiman don't carry this model anymore.
Hit up Airgun Revisions. You won't get any better, Imho.
I don't have a Cayden, but I do have a Benjamin Akela worked over and set up from Tony at Airgun Revisions. It absolutely loves Apolo 18 grain slugs. I just( monday) got a chrony, but the weather has absolutely sucked this week, so I haven't been able to use it to check fps yet, but the trash pandas and the backyard woods squirrels hate it.

I didn't see any on there website . what kinda setup did you get
I'm sorry Bull. I meant for parts, repair. But occasionally he does get the rifles in.
I just got mine tuned, but after 1st of year, sending it back for the large tube installation and tune for hunting to go with it.
Its already a beast on squirrels, pandas and chicken stealing skunks, but I'm all for him really making a little monster outta it.

Are you having it shorten down . that would be nice . I really like his barn gun if it had the side lever I would have bought it already.
No, no barrel change. Just wanting more thump, and extra air.
Yeah, I like look of his shorties, but I also have coyote issues so depending on what I grab, would hate to snatch a shortie thinking it was trash panda or skunk, and it really be old Wiley coyote!

Thank you guys for all the info I'm still trying to get my first pcp rifle I've been holding off looking and studying on what to get . I really want a side lever breach in .22 that is a traditional rifle style . I just keep looking
