Tested the Baracuda Match 21.14gr this morning out of my Red Wolf. Chrono at 955 fps. Definitely not as consistent as JSB pellets. Target below at 40 yards. Will test it again when the Skout EVO with the LW barrel gets here. I have the H&N slugs coming today.

The Barracuda Match 21gr pellets are a tricky beast. They work in very few airguns, but the ones they do work in can be phenomenal. I had a Cricket 2 that shoot these pellets amazingly - a regretted sale as it had a lottery winner barrel on it.

These pellets also come in multiple head sizes so worth trying that too.

The Baracuda (Match) is designed for velocities in the 800 fps range. When it was first introduced to the market, air guns rarely had a muzzle energy over 30 ft-lbs.
ahhh so that why my Ghost didn't get along with them!🤔 On minimum it was still well past 900fps. Now I'm excited to sling em in the S510! She sends 18gr @880/890 so these ought to shoot well @800-850!? Will post my results here when I do👍

I tried them in my S510 unfortunately they did not agree with each other. 🤷‍♂️

Well the S510 still loves the JSB 18.13s the best. 32FPE shooting the 21.14gr between 828 to 835FPS. A grey Squirrel foolishly showed up @ 25 Yards between me and the target box and the H&N made quick work of em. But these won't be my go-to for hunting.

Didi you try the H&N Baracuda 18 as well?

I tried them in my S510, and I found that my rifle significantly preferred the JSB 18s. However, my Umarex Origin would shoot the 18s fairly consistently to 35y.
lol I'll go with that then😂 I do not know why that is the case but I chalk it up to possibly H&Ns lead being harder and therefore seating less nicely In the barrel as they fly through? And secondly JSB head sizes are just alittle bit thicker. Unless it's just the stock that is available in Canada...

Just remember that mine can somewhat shoot CPHP‘s and yours can’t every rifle is an individual. I wouldn’t see the harm and trying the H&N 18s.

My Ghost 177 HP likes the H&N BM 4.52mm 10.65 gr at ~870-890 ft/s the best. I have tried all the JSB diabolos in addition to the H&Ns and the 10.65 produces the tightest groups with unsorted by weight and head size pellets. The JSB fliers flew more…
I have started sorting pellets by weight and head size to redo the testing…some day
