The Inaugural match was held on August 9-10 & 11 on our huge silhouette range & although we didn’t have the out-of-state shooters we expected, it was still a very successful 3-day match. Some new faces as well as some friends I had not seen in a while enjoyed every minute they were here.
We could not have asked for any better support than we received from the Air Gun industry folks for this inaugural match. The donations from all the major companies were more than we expected & was much appreciated by all of our shooters, that’s for sure. Our donors included (1) Utah Air Guns (2) Air Guns of Arizona (3) Skout Air Guns (4) Pyramyd Air (5) Air Force Air Guns (6) Air Guns of Kansas (7) Air Tanks Plus (8) Mad Dog Stocks (9) Lab Radar.
OKCV Gun Club is located 18 miles NE of downtown Oklahoma City & covers 600 acres with a membership of 2,700. Our huge silhouette range takes up 50 acres of that. Our silhouette targets, Rams, Turkeys, Pigs & Chickens, both small-bore as well as big-bore are controlled by a wireless pneumatic auto-reset system that can re-set all targets, 4,000 lbs of them from 25 yards to 500 meters in just over 60 seconds. It is an AIR gun competition paradise, especially for these modern, high tech AIR guns. Our firing line is 402 feet long by 24 feet wide. Both shooters & spotters are protected from the sun/rain the entire day. We have over 60 RV hook-ups. Food trailer on-site.
Trophies were handed out to the winners in both SB classes as well as BB classes, all 40-rounds each, 1st thru 3rd place including Speed Silhouette Extreme, SB & 500-meter Ram Slammer, BB. We have monthly matches the last Sunday of each month, March thru November. This major match for 2025 will be scheduled at a later date.
