I wouldn’t bother wasting all those pellets for nothing. Just git’r done.

I have A LOT of pellets haha. The process is part of my enjoyment of the hobby.

I shot pellets straight from the tin. Confirmed what I thought about pellets. The 6 pellets around the 35 and 40 were loose fitting in the breech. The one below that was extremely loose.
All these group were shot from 20 yards benchrest. I’ve found the most consistent rifle position is it balanced and resting on a Wiebad mini range cube.
I will bust out my head size guage and see if I can tighten up the groups.
6x scope, 8mph wind with double that gusts. Not perfect conditions as it started raining also. Haha

I shoot 10shot groups usually with my springer and I had a loose H&N FTT ruin a 1/2 group (30Y) once. It went in loose and I though mmm i should just waste this one....wish I had! The 11th went right back into the 1/2in group of course. I've seen loose pellets go high or low
