I have a Gen 2 25 caliber it started discharging what I would take it off safety then it got worse if I chamber around it would fire , you got to the point to where it would fire by just barely touching it or moving it. I did these tests in controlled setting all the while waiting to hear from barra . Apparently they have no continuity with their customers concerns with very serious and extremely dangerous problem that could cause life or limb to someone. Fast forward a month and a half I run out of patience and decided that I would try and fix it myself so I search for as much information that I could about the trigger assembly , took it apart couldn't see anything obviously wrong but every time I made adjustments after reassembling several times the sear still wouldn't engage. Finally I thought to take the adjustment screws completely out to examine them and found that one was stripped not the threads but the head on one was rounded so I reversed them and that seemed to work because now it it's engaging and holding after jarring round some as well dry firing several times . But meanwhile in PCP paradise sometime while disassembling , reassembling a few times I somehow lost the safety switch . I was pissed off for a minute but don't have time for that type of entertainment . At any rate in the same storm , but a different boat. That's the hell of it . While troubleshooting , the problem seemed to be when attempting to turn the sear adjustment screw ,c apparently it wasn't turning although it felt like it was but I really couldn't see it cuz it's so small I really had no reason to think that it could already be rounded due to it being out the box factory. The only question I have is how did that get rounded off to begin with and therefore causing the stated problem? Because when I reversed the screws that immediately fixed it I know that I didn't round it off because from the start obviously wasn't turning to come into adjusting anyway. In conclusion I need to get another safety . I went on barra the website and naturally they don't have them listed in parts catalog nor did they come up in a search . . Yeah crazy ain't the word ...Haha customer service , what customer service? nonexistent and worthless as tits on a boar hog...

Rts. Stop ahead. New, brand new air rifle. Ask for a return shipment and replacement/refund.

If you did not get what you paid for to the letter, do not modify, or attempt to self diagnose or fix. Return/replace or refund.

Hound Barra or the vendor you bought it from for a replacement.

Welcome to the forum man!

I know the 250z is built in China but I don't know which manufacturer. But if you can figure it out a lot of times the parts are common to other rifles from the same manufacturer. Takes a bit of work but it can save a orphan gun from becoming a safe queen.

For example Snowpeak M60b and Max 1 share quite a few parts. The magazines for the Max 1 are the 1 that came with the Max 1. But the M60B magazines will work in a Max 1 (0.5 mm difference). I believe the trigger assembly is also the same between them.

The Barra1100z gen 2 is made alongside the new regulated Beeman Chief 2 S now. Stock and barrel length being biggest difference outwardly. I have heard numerous times though that beeman customer service is a major nightmare though, so best to pester Barra for needed parts, even if its to wait for parts off a returned gun. Hate you having so much trouble. I know it stinks.

Beeman customer service is absolutely horrible/disgraceful. I’ve contacted them twice and have never received a response. It’s a shame that they have taken one of the most respected names in The American Adult Airgun community and ran it into the ground, reputation wise.

Beeman is owned by Shanghai Airguns and has been for many years. All Chinese Beeman guns are manufactured by Shanghai Airguns - so far as I know.

Shanghai does a limited amount of OEM manufacturing, including the Barra 1100z.

So far as I know, there's no connection between Shanghai Airguns and Snowpeak.

Bill, you had trouble with Beeman over your trouble with the under lever didn't you? I knew I had read about it, but wasn't sure it was you.

Bud I know this post that you made was months ago but on the sight chance that you never found the trigger assembly that you are looking for! The Barra 1100z gen 1 and Barra 1100z gen 2 have the very same one stage trigger system as the Umarex gauntlet gen 2. Look to Hajimoto Productions on Google , contact him and he will definitely be able to get to the replacements that you are looking for.

The Barra 1100z gen 1 and Barra 1100z gen 2 have the very same one stage trigger system. This is the Umarex gauntlet gen 2 trigger assembly that you can get at Hajimoto Productions for fifty five bones.

Yeah the thing that I've noticed by owning all four of the Barra 1100z gen 1 , Barra 1100z gen 2 , Umarex gauntlet gen 1 and Umarex gauntlet gen 2 is the trigger assembly is the very same and bolts up to the pcp the very same way. All holes are a match with one another to bolt up with the same trigger assembly. Seems all use the exact same Chinese parts maybe even put together in the very same factory facility. I've adjusted all of the triggers on the Barra 1100z gen 1 , Barra 1100z gen 2 , Umarex gauntlet gen 1 and Umarex gauntlet gen 2 and they all have the very one stage same trigger assembly pictured below thar can be gotten at Hajimoto Productions.
