Nice qualifying. I’ll have to hope for no wind. I managed to get 40 shots in after the storm today. I hope to try all three.

Whaaa that's not good! And yes u need a chrono 4 sure. Mine has slipped a mite but it's still my most accurate gun by a long shot. Toss a kleenex on the breech and see if air is escaping past breech/barrel o-ring when u shoot. I buggered mine last cleaning session...saw a chunk come off, but it's not leaking so I'm leaving it alone! Got a pair of spares for when the dreaded day comes...More qualifying.

Beginner class.
I don’t think I will be using the S510 on the Challenge the rifle is not shooting very good.
I’m not sure what’s going on. I’ve cleaned the barrel and am sure everything else is good and tight, but it was terrible just terrible.
I’ve got to get a crono soon.

Not tonight for me.Rise old thread, rise!!
It’s time for a 30/15 yard challenge
Same as always, let’s talk about it here and then I’ll do a separate thread for the Challenge.
So I’m thinking a bench .177 30y for PCP and 15-20y ?? for Springers.
Everyone’s thoughts are welcome, but participants will be taken more seriously.
Is this target OK?
What is a good distance for the separate Springer Challenge? Or should it be the same distance?
Nope, no night time target shooting for you.Not tonight for me.
I do, I have a Diana 48 and a Beeman underlever pcp
It looks good to me. I’ll try both at whatever distance that you decide.Rise old thread, rise!!

I wish we had rain coming.Nope, no night time target shooting for you.
Even if we get all the details worked out it’s not looking good for me either this weekend, looks like rain every day.
We’ll have to set the deadline for the third week of October that should give everyone a chance.
Count me in. I dont own a .177 pcp so my TX and I are up! I would say 20Y for springers vs 30Y for pcps is fairRise old thread, rise!!

Thanks Bill!! You have inspired the name of the ChallengeSo now I’m falling down another rabbit hole with this challenge. The trigger on the Beeman was really stiff and then started failing to return to the forward position. The darn trigger is digging into the wooden trigger guard. I loosened the stock screw slightly and released the trigger. I could only find two tins of open .177 pellets, some H&N Hobby Excite lol and some H&N Bardacuda Match 10.65gr. I decided to go with the Barracuda’s. They actually look terrible to the naked eye. I’m getting some pretty tight groups of around 8” at 30yds. The velocity spread is good too, only about 50fps (880-930). I think the tune is going to be the challenge lol. The reg is not adjustable and the only adjustment is the hammer spring. I guess I’ll start with a barrel cleaning. The fun begins.
