I shot mine today for the first time in a while and it was spot on! I wish they were all made like this gun. I'd still like to see it as a .25 but it looks like that 's never happening either. What a great, simple, outstandingly built, premium materialed piece of machinery though, I never have to worry about this one, it'll outlast me.

Well I pulled the trigger on one of those .22 Walnut EVOL Paradigms today. After looking over their exploded views and seeing how the sub-MOA barrel is attached to the receiver, I decided this gun was for me. And I'm a sucker for a gorgeous walnut stock.
So now I wait The anticipation of seeing it in person and then discovering how it shoots makes for really long days. So I've decided to post on HAM to help pass the time.

I am a big FAN boy for EVOLs I own a few : ) I think you will love it. I dont not beleave it will have the sub-MOA barrel but dont fear these gun are very acurate as many will tell you and they are an extreaam pleasure to shoot.

Oh yeah, I'm excited! The guns that AOA has advertised in the pre-owned section are actually new guns that are assembled with some upgraded features such as the sub-MOA barrels and an externally adjustable regulator. So a little different from the original Paradigm version. AAA only made five guns with this configuration to use up the last of the Paradigm parts on hand.

I feel fortunate to be getting one these final versions. Just received notice it will arrive Saturday! Oh boy.

Paradigm arrived Saturday and oh boy, what a treat! The gun came in a Savior Urban Warfare double rifle case. Very secure and lots of good padding. Includes back straps so I can slap it on and hike across the wilderness of Oklahoma.

When I opened the case, there was the Paradigm with a beautiful walnut stock created by Steve Cochran. Nice crisp lines yet smooth as butter everywhere your hands and cheek go when shouldering the gun.

After cleaning the barrel, I mounted my Hawke Sidewinder with a set of high Vortex Pro rings and adjusted the cheek weld to my liking. My first thought was if this gun came in .177 cal, I'd have two of them.

The gun came filled to 3,000 psi and the reg set at 2,000 psi. Since I've been involved with PCPs, I've only had gauges calibrated to bars. So I've added a link on my computer to convert PSI to bars so I make 'sense' of these psi numbers. Ha!

At the shooting table I loaded the magazine with JSB Monster Redesigns deep skirts. 39 'on the reg' shots averaged 940.8 fps at 49.9 ft/lbs. That's definately more horse power than I'm gonna need to shoot paper targets, but I'll just leave it there for now and get used to shooting the gun.

The trigger is great but I will lower the pull force in the future. The cocking lever is smooth but it's compressing a really strong spring so that's another thing to get used to. I like the magazine but would prefer a single shot loader.

Overall impression, I'm in love with this gun. Excellent job American Air Arms!
