Wow, that looks terrible. I hope you get it worked out ChiefWell, the AirForce .177 Talon came, and I will clean the barrel and mount a scope tonight. I have already filled and leak checked the tank. All good.
While I was waiting for it, I took these pictures of the crown on my Vectis. Looks like someone did it with a Philips screwdriver. I have never seen such a bad crown in all my life. I guess this is why I am not having any luck getting stuff to group well in it. I will have to message them to see if I can get another barrel for it. They don't answer the phone. I think they had a dull cutting bit on their lathe and no cutting oil, so it was chattering when they cut it. If they won't make things right, guess I could do a better job with a brass screw and some rubbing compound in a drill.

Geez looks like they took a hand drill to it. Hopefully they see this is not acceptable. So much for quality control.Well, the AirForce .177 Talon came, and I will clean the barrel and mount a scope tonight. I have already filled and leak checked the tank. All good.

I put springs inside of springs all of the time for problems like yours. You might have to cut the internal spring a few times to get it at the power you want, so buy at least two. Don't bother to find perfect, make it, it's faster.Umarex can not provide the dimensions of the hammer spring on a Zelos, WOW. I know generally what it is, size wise but a person would think that Information would be available by umarex to pass along. Now I'm close to the correct spring except the one I found at Menards is a bit too weak. So I ordered off ali express from a link a person put on here for springs they use. At some point I'll find what I'm looking for.
Backstory is I bought a zelos that was an unfinished product. Short of a still hammer spring I should be to shoot it. With the lighter menards spring I was getting 820-800fps, with a heavy spring that's cut too short I was getting closer to 960 with the same reg pressure. So close yet so far away.
Those strings don't look right. Avenger and Avenge X regs are usually very good performers. Personally, I'd take some 1000-2000 grit sandpaper to the bellville washers and replace the orings. Worry about your settings after you get rid of that creeping.Shot the avenge x today .22 with jts 22.07 and barracuda match 21.14. turning down the regulator again tomorrow because at 25 yards neither pellet would group tight at 25 yards. I ran 45 and 40 pellets. After refilling the air tank there was a spike both times where the regulator crept up.
Right now the regulator is at 1800 psi and my hammer spring doesn't adjust, may need to find my lighter spring. I get a lot of shots. At that power level it would have 52-55 shots. Although the regulator creep is pretty noticeable as well with this gun.
