I see a lot of people talking about Tuning, scopes, bags, pellets, and guns trying to get better groups.
I dont care what you have, if you dont have a steady to shoot from you cant be accurate.
It took time to realize my groups could only be as good as i could hold steady, shakey tables just dont work, you need a solid platform. I took my clamping horse and made a top that can be removed for transport, a simple I beam out of 2x4s gave stiffness and easy clamping, but very sturdy and portable

Went to my local Walmart today to check on t.he AG section. Quite surprised from my last visit. Several different air rifles, all pretty much in the budget friendly range. I also saw the Exacts and the Hades that several of our members have spoke of. I did pick up some CPHP’s mainly because of the new reduced weight. 7.6 r.i.p 7.9 . The weights measured out fairly uniform around 7.6, looks like the took the weight via deeper pockets in skirt ad hollow point. They do shoot fairly well. POI lifted about 1/2 “ at 35 yds. Didn’t chrono them yet. That was my Saturday morningStay well all

Shaved the plenum hole for my Nova Liberty .177 wood stock. 1.5-2 hours but it fits. After I installed I realize the mounting screws are all a hair off so I'll have to remove it one more time and shave more toward the trigger. I'm going to gently shoot and chrono first. I believe I need to trim the hammer spring. So until then I won't finish the trigger guard. It looks so much better. Now my arm may be a limp noodle from the wood work but it's just fine to shoot. Oh the degas screw needs replaced as well since the wood versions are shorter.

Took the 880 out for its first ever pellet testing session (by me). 3 pumps, 10 meters, and a very surprised and pleased Papa. Only 5 out of 16 groups were over .5", only one was over 1", and 4 under .2". Really the lead free and the Russian pellets skewed the data for the rest. This and my recent experiences with shooting the 853 give me some hope that maybe I'm not half as bad at shooting as I thought.

I got the starling first at about 30 yds.
Then left it lay as I had seen the crows flying around and used it for bait, it worked not 10 minutes down came the crow.
Using hades 15.89 you could hear the solid THUMP. I hate those poopfactories

Just finished firing some targets with the 250z .22 this morning. Haven't been shooting it much lately as I have been concentrating on a different rifle I use for my ground squirrel hunting. The 250z is my second most accurate air rifle.

Just want to state that any of these targets I post here on the forum I do so for the amusement/enjoyment of other like-minded forum members with no pretense intended. I am not a competitive benchrest shooter, nor do I claim to be. All my air rifles are hunting rifles with lower power optics in the 10x to 16x magnification range. I don't currently own an air rifle that is used exclusively for benchrest shooting.

just doing some plinking at 37yard metal targets-just a fun shooter here and there occasional critter pest
but I hate when I'm ready to shoot and the weather says NO-I cant put out targets till the ground dries
anyone else have to fight the weather? I will post pic below sometime cant get pics loaded from phone

That's a very comfortable looking and scenic home range you have there..., when it's not underwater!

I sometimes take for granted having a home range to easily enjoy the airgun hobby. I can't imagine having to jump in the car/truck to get some place to shoot like many airgun folks have to do.

You did not make a mistake, bud. He is building arguably the best design on the market. Truth be known, I THOUGHT I had beaten his design. I actually had a design which beat it... one time. It can be beaten but beating it every time is no easy task. His work is quite good. This improvement in the evaluator may give me a shot at that.
