My Pre-order Pinty Buster Finally Arrived

I pre-ordered my Pinty Buster Jun 12th. It arrived yesterday Aug 8th. I wanted this gun in .177 because it's lightweight, regulated, I liked the looks and I liked the aftermarket parts. I ultimately want to use this for ratting. I have shot about 160 pellets through my pistol. I have also filled her 5 times. It took 96 pumps from the hand pump from 75bar to 250. My spritech compressor fills it up in 2 min 30 seconds. I have to take off my suppressor and handgaurd to fill her up. I may just dremel away the space on the end so it lines up. I'm not sure if Pinty updated how they fill the buster but my fill cap isn't spring assisted. You just slide it over. The red dot I'm using has a huge dot. At 10 yards it takes up the 1in target I'm aiming at. It still hit some good groups. Once I got it locked in my girlfriend shot it and hit all three steel targets 2 2.5in and 1 1.5in at 10 yards free handed. I actually really like the trigger. The take up is short and it's not to heavy. The safety does feel a little flimsy. This gun is also loud you definitely need a moderator. The Axis 1913 folding stock is also a little stiff but I can see getting easier over time. The solo fish laser and flashing combo works really well for me too it's bright and the laser is pretty fine compared to other cheap lasers I purchased. I like the type c charging feature. Today I just plinked for fun and I was hitting the same steel targets at 25 yards. Overall I'm happy I'm getting about 40 to 42 shots before refilling. The regulator seem to hold for most of the shot string on target at least. I plan on doing chronograph testing soon to confirm. Again thank you Pinty for delivering!

Angel at Redcornoutdoors makes a different end cap that rotates vice stock pinty version for fill hole, so that you do not have to remove moderator (as well as tool for removing gage to do install).

Thanks I'll look into it. I'm going to start with taking a dremel to that corner of the handgaurd. It's not much I have to remove. Once I do that I won't have to remove anything. I can keep the handgaurd and moderator on.

I received my Buster on Aug 8th too and my fill cover is the new design where you just turn it and the fill port is at the 7 o'clock. Mine is not spring assisted. You should no longer have to pull it outward.

I'm sure that could work. I haven't broke down an air gun that much to know how yet.

Got mine today. Woohoo. It came fully charged. It is LOUD. 22 cal PB loud. Put a DonnyFL Tanto on it and it is not as quiet as my .22 cal Vulcan bullpup with a DonnyFL moderator. The vulcan has a fatter moderator that would be too large diameter for the buster. I thought the Tanto would be enough for this little thing. It's going to be awhile before I can do any sighting in / testing.

My fill probe hole points directly down at 6 o'clock. Nothing on the gun or the mags indicate the caliber.

I couldn't believe how loud it was either. I shot some light alloy stuff the rws 5.2gr pointed pellets and my ears were ringing without the moderator. Mine came empty. My fill probe points at about 4 to 5 o'clock. How does your safety feel? Mine feels loose but it works.

Mine doesn't click into an internal indent or anything. Very easy to move the lever slightly off S or F. Seems like there should be click indent so it is more difficult to switch either way. Is there supposed to be a "click" or something?

There "should" be a ball bearing/spring assembly on the underside of the safety that will click into a divot at either position. If there's no audible/tactile indication, you might try tightening the screw. You'll know it's too tight when it won't move. If you do, be careful that the safety itself stays in the same position. Turns out it's free-rolling and is wholly dependent on the screw to stay in place. I detailed my issues with the safety in another thread in this subforum for a little more background.

I believe he's talking about the screw on the safety. I just tightened mine. It feel better and still works but I still don't get that "click". I did tighten to much at first and I back it out half a turn and it worked. I just made sure it stayed in place like XPEncore mentioned. It's a 2mm btw. My screw came rusty too.

Yes. 2mm. I just tightened mine. Still no "click" but it is less floppy. Sure wish there was an indent that it would "snap" into.

I received my .22 Buster today, and it has the new design twist air fill cover as well. I like this thing! Great power and accuracy to boot. The fact that it uses Vanguard mags is a huge plus, since I have 4 plus the extras I bought from Angel at Redcorn. Gonna make a great little folding stock carbine!

With the photo and re-reading your post, I now realize the ball bearing should be under the switch and not somewhere inside the gun like other guns. I'll have to check mine this afternoon. What is the size of the ball bearing? Wonder if it could be missing altogether.

No, after last shot, bolt wont close.
No link, but on ebay search Redcornoutdoors that will pull up his store. He has them listed as both Vanguard and Buster magazines. In 3 or 4 different colors available.
