As a new PCP owner I plan to do an unboxing and first impressions of the Ghost from that perspective but I could not help myself to ask - is the Ghost considered “heavy?” The Ghost is kitted with a MTC Copperhead which isn’t light but even without it I was surprised at its weight. I plan to use it for in hand pest control so it’s clear I need to build up a comfort for carrying it. So my questions - is the Ghost considered heavy for a Bullpup PCP? And in order to reduce the weight - is a good red dot (2moa) a reasonable option to the Copperhead for close range pesting - say 20-50yrds (I know it has a lot to do with my steadiness and eyesight) but I am looking for ways to minimize weight. Thx!

"Heavy" or not is somewhat subjective, but most would say the Ghost is fairly heavy, once scoped.

This is with a relatively light 23oz, fixed power scope....

The billet grip and the brass shroud end caps here weight a bit more than OEM, but you're still likely to be 10lbs if scoped with a conventional scope in a typical magnification range.

I have to find my scale so I can compare it to my AR but I’d wager it’s close to the same.

So I have been using the Ghost for a bit and it certainly is not light but I have gotten used to it, at least to the point, that I have taken dozens of doves, several pheasants and a small hog. As expected, when I can reduce the magnification - it makes the weight less influential.

Nice, that the Ghost is serving you well…

No regrets at all on the purchase - I have only experienced a few different PCP's but I love it - accuracy and build quality is premiere. The weight has become more much manageable - off-hand shooting has improved a lot but I would not count on it for a long day of hunting/shooting - I have been using a standing monopod for longer treks and a good sling helps. One caveat - when I use my sons Air Venturi Alpha you can really feel the weight of the Ghost so it does take a second to get used to the Ghost again. I hope that was helpful.

Very helpful. Thank you for your detailed reply.
