What'cha doing air gun related today?

Today I pulled out all of my "I care about optics potential" airguns and laid them out to consider and determine my optics situation. I'm still not sure what I will ultimately do with some, like the Lieva, but I did order 3 new scopes to add to the mix.View attachment 20894

Also, spent some time working on design of commemorative coin for US 250th and the fact it is the Year of the Pumper. View attachment 20895

Loving the "optics potential" collection and photo layout, Papa. Clean "commemorative coin" design, too. 👍

going over targets the striker .22 gave me smaller than dime size with hades 15.08-norma heavy17.6-cuda match 21.14 in both 5.51 and 5.52--and crossman H.P.---got nickle size withH&N terminator 16.36 and FTT--she didnt like JSB 18.13-or JTS-16.08 or22.07---my avenger pup2 was pickier hades15.89 and 25.39 and JTS16.08 were all one ragged hole---everything else was all over the paper----both guns still at factory settings,i think both are a little hot -dont have a chronograph yet,--but it was a pretty day sun shinning, a little brezzy but just fun shooting---saw a big full sized Woody Wood Pecker we dont get them much here

I was shooting the .300 TJ Condor, started out as a .22 Condor slug gun, this morning. I am very happy with that gun. It will stack 50gr JSBs at 50 yards and does well with JSB Knockouts at 50 as well. It also really likes my homemade 55gr WC slugs from an Accurate mold. I only have it turned up 2/3 of the way and with 2500psi it will throw my 55gr slug at 958fps, 112fpe. I believe it will do even better with 55-62gr hollow points. I will get some of those one of these days, but I believe it has the power to shoot 70gr possibly 75gr just stock no mods to the gun at all, but I could see someone wanting a 4500psi tank and regulator because it would be pushing so much air with each shot. But from looking at a stability checker I think 55-62gr hollow points will have the length it likes the best. The wind was blowing 5mph gusting often to 10 and at 50 yards it didn't act like any wind was blowing at all. I just love that about the mid-range bores. The farthest I can shoot on my little range is just a bit over 60 yards, so I just keep it at 50.

Well I finally got off my butt and sealed up my liberty. Found out 1 of the Orings I ordered was wrong. I ordered 2x4mm and should've ordered some 2x6mm. Luckily I found one in my capt Oring repair kit. So 4 hours after I filled it to just below 2k psi it's only lost 17 psi and that could be from more cooling of the air in the tank. We'll see what it looks like tomorrow morning but I think it worked.

Between heat and wind just about all i did was set up a card at 10m and adjust the R9's hinge bolt. It was a exciting 10-20 shots . Pretty much moring or afternoon shooting been a bust . So back in the AC sipping tea and trolling forums and gun shopping for a deal that aint there..lol

I got my Monstrum Panzer FFP 1x10 LPVO scope with the CM3 reticle and mounted it on my M357. This is one of the coolest hunting scopes I have ever had. Something my stepson that deer, hog, and elk hunts will like when I am gone. I keep him in mind when I am getting something for myself so he can enjoy it later on. What is cool is at 1x it is like a red dot scope and at 10x it is a like a red 5-inch circle with a 3-inch interior and a red 1-inch dot in the middle with 6 very bright illumination settings or you can leave it black. Their scopes all come with a lifetime warranty. I wanted something more than my 2x7 for bench shooting in the back yard so I hope this 1x10 will work out for me well. I thought this would be nice for a close-range brush gun. This picture has it zoomed out to 10x.

Oooo, that looks nice!

Well, I sighted in the new 1x10 scope on the M357, and it does exactly what I had hoped it would do with the CM3 circle and dot type reticle. I shot 148gr slugs at 30, 40, and 50 yards and had it set so on 10x, all I had to do at each distance was put the top edge of the scopes center dot on the bottom edge of the 1-inch target bullseye dot and I was good to go at all 3 ranges because of the sight picture I had with it, that's it, couldn't be easier. I also tried it on 1x at 30 yards and put the dot right on the bull and it was right on like a red dot scope. This will be a great scope for deer hunting. They offer this scope with 4 different types of reticles and one of the others might be better suited for other purposes, but this is exactly what I would want on an airgun for deer hunting out to 50 yards and perfect for what I am doing with it. It is extremely easy to compensate with it. I do not know what it would be like past 50 because I can't shoot past about 60 in my yard. The only thing I didn't like is I can't hear a good click on the elevation adjustment, but I can feel it, other than that I am very happy with it.

I just finished installing a Vortek 12 fpe Delrin kit in my HW97k and tested it with various pellets (.177) over the chronograph. This gun originally came from the factory set at 12 fpe. It shot well, but it vibrated and buzzed. All the OEM parts looked good, but I gather that the sloppy fit between the spring and guide contributed to the problem. Now, it has a nice smooth shot cycle.

Tried different sights, and settled on my new pinty compact 4x32, for the Blue Streak. Took it out to sight in, and discovered it was shooting very high and very right. The high didn't surprise me, since it sits so high on the gun, but >2 ft right at 25 yards was. Got the gun sighted in at 25 yards, with 2 pumps. Found 45 yards was nearly the same zero with 3 pumps. 20260508_153759.webpDid some pellet testing, and found that it does indeed seem to prefer jsb exact 13.73gr. 20260508_162730.webpThen I "stretched it out", shot challenge at 45 yards with 3 pumps. My sighter seemed right on, so I shot target to find it grouped beautifully, a few inches low. One extra low because I did 2 pumps instead of 3. 🙈 20260508_165140.webpDid a final 5 shots at 45 yards and 3 pumps for a score of 46-0X.20260508_165726.webp20260508_165211.webp

Took out my Benjamin 347 today while I let my dog run around. I just had to see how strong my new shoulder is getting. I dare not tell my PT people about it yet. All went well. Took just a few shots at 4 pumps each. Totally amazed at how well I did at 30 yds Me vs old pound propane bottles🤣 Any way , all went well shoulder is fine and I can behave again. Definitely feel AG addicted😉 Stay well all👍
