Target Generator - You Will Be Able To Create Your Own Targets

Looking at your points:
1. Header and footer. They can be moved some. But, not all printers can print near the edges. What exactly is the issue? Are they a distraction?
2. The scorer will be refined. It has to fit on all devices and originally it wasn’t expandable, I’ve since added pinch and spread gestures to size it and a magnifier. It will get better.
3. When you touch the screen it adds a shot when you lift your finger. If you don’t want that shot, hit delete (located below) and it will disappear. If you see a shot that the scoring ring (blue ring) is in the wrong place, tap it, you can then move it using the arrows below or hit delete and remove it. All of this works with a mouse and a scroll wheel as well.
4. Please explain what you mean by it doesn’t like two shots on one target? What type are of target are you scoring? A single bull target or a multi bull target like the 5x5 10m target?
If shooters don’t try it and tell me about their experience, I won’t know what needs work and what doesn’t. I have to constantly score the same targets over and over so that I can refine the scoring. That means that I get a false sense of ease, because I’ve done it so many times in a short period of time. So input like this is important. Keep in mind that I’m a jack of all trades and master of none and not a big development company LOL and so progress nay be at a n old man’s pace LOL.
Thanks for your input.

I was trying to score a target i made that was not on the drop down list and it just wasn’t happy. I shot a 50 yd 5x5 and it worked well i had to adjust nothing.

Yes but when it first came up it was on the targets then i had a hard time to get it on the squares then when i zoomed in i couldn’t get out of the zoom or get above or below the pic to do anything else. Like i said i think it was loko cause the target i was scoreing was not on the dropdown list. It wasn’t the target it was looking for. Your 50 yd target size is off compared to the acme targets in size

I just scaled the 50yd down 50%. I can make them to any regulation size. I had issues with it not always recognizing the calibration squares. That should be pretty much fixed now. I also had issues trying to align them and so I made it where it snaps to the black squares when it gets near them. I was going to put a QR code on each target telling it which target was being scored, but I was trying to save real estate. I might add it later.

Everyone, please keep in mind that no camera can see what’s not there. If you shoot a ragged hole group, the camera can’t see what’s went through the hole and it will require human intervention. That’s where one shot per target and the use of wadcutters come into play. Life is full of compromises and the best compromise is to use one or two shots per bull max. Because shooters want to use their letter sized home printers, that places another limit on best practices. Just some food for thought.

I have increased the spacing of the black calibration squares on the single bull targets. I did it to increase the white space around the target. It also helps a little in correcting camera distortion and increases accuracy. I couldn’t do it with the multiple bull targets because of smartphone camera framing limitations. I’m looking at expanding the image shown while scoring. I do test with an iPhone, but mostly use an iPad where it’s not as much of an issue. It’s a work in progress.

I’ve made it so that you can edit any airguns or projectiles that “you” add to the database. You can’t edit others additions. For example if Taipan is misspelled and you added it, you can correct it now 😉.

I’m going to expand the database of preloaded airguns today. I’m adding some BC fields as well. The issue with BCs is that very few manufacturers publish their data. I searched the internet for BC data. Yes, that’s perfectly legal, it just means that I scanned the web looking for BC info. The issue that I’ve ran into is that the number one source for airgun BC numbers is our favorite airgun resource: Hard Air Magazine. It is without a doubt the largest source of airgun BC data on the internet. I don’t want to use Steve’s data without permission. I’m thinking of maybe looking at the export files from the FX Pocket Pro and maybe import measured BC data from there for users that have them. I understand that BC data has lots of variables. I just thought it might be useful to some shooters as a starting point.i personally don’t use them.
I’ve got to head to the pumpkin patch now.
