You can help yourself by knowing what your twist rate is and what the groove diameter is of your barrel. The twist rate needs to be fast enough for the LENGTH of the slug you are shooting and the diameter of the slug needs to be the same to.0005 over size. A round nose flat base slug might work just fine but a more pointed boat tail of the same weight won't stabilize.Going to give some slugs a try for the first time and see how they do.
Well you can't take it with you when you go, that's why you have never seen a trailer hitch on a hearse. LOLI just bought one tin......for now. But I do see your point, just from testing pellets.Expect a large investment for that endeavour! Unless you get lucky and hit on a slug that works right off the bat..., you'll wind up with a large investment in partially used slug containers!![]()
I have 4 PCP Rifles that are loosing Pressure when fill them up...Trying to locate a local Gun Tech Guy or repair shop in my area... Poplarville, Mississippi and within a 50 to 70 mile radius... If i were 30 years younger and better Vision i'd be ripping them apart myself to try to fix them. With my 250z and my Paradigm, I did a lot of sporadic one shots, to see how the first shot would be after a day or a week and even a month, for several months, and both guns were, and are, first shot accurate. I really cherish that trait in an airgun. Actually most of my airguns can do this, but those two got really checked and rechecked right off the bat. I also did cold weather checks on them, and my Airforce TalonP, all good. I have high confidence in the guns as a result and that is an ingredient in good shooting too. I keep forgetting to rto with my scopes so I have less confidence in me lately though.
Are you talking about the pressure loss from the cooling of the HP air you just filled your PCP.I have 4 PCP Rifles that are loosing Pressure when fill them up...Trying to locate a local Gun Tech Guy or repair shop in my area... Thank You Pano@KKSea
Welcome to HAM
No Madhatter -- i can put 3K Psi into the pressure tank and by the next morning or with one rifle a few days later the pressure gauge reads around 100 psi.Are you talking about the pressure loss from the cooling of the HP air you just filled your PCP.
I take it that all are out of warranty as well?No Madhatter -- i can put 3K Psi into the pressure tank and by the next morning or with one rifle a few days later the pressure gauge reads around 100 psi.

Be careful with the puns, the site moderator advised me to moderate mine-lol!I shot my Gen 3 Mrod today at some reaction targets at 135y and 195y. My first shot was a hit, which always sets the tone nicely. Speaking of tone, I thought the shot was slow because of how quiet the gun is now, running the prototype. The gun wasn't slow, the prototype just really works well, it baffles me how well it works (pun intended).
