What'cha doing air gun related today?

Took out "old" 880 and "new" 880 (the new one is actually a few months older than my og) for some trigger time. I really love me some 880 time. My attempts to chrono were met with the chrono not registering anything had passed, so... just trigger time and pulls. "Old" about 6 lbs, "New" about 7 lbs. After a lot of research, I am fairly certain both are from 2010, with one being June and the other February of that year.20261003_153047.webp

I shot the Barra 1866 muti pump this morning. I was amazed at how easy it is to pump, and how quiet it is. Each pump from 1-10 feels the same rather than getting harder as you go. A child could do it. I was getting about 625fps with Crossman premiers, and they say that you can get 600-800fps so that worked out okay. This is a GEN1 model, and I found it hard to load pellets and the blade on the rear sight is hard to adjust accurately. The GEN2 addresses both of those problems with a receiver that is made to assist in pellet loading with a groove in it and a dovetail scope mount built into it. You can buy the GEN2 receiver in gold or silver from Barra and upgrade your GEN1 to a GEN2 for $15 so I just ordered the new receiver so I could put a scope on it. As a GEN2 with the pellet ramp and a scope this should be a very fun little gun.

My plan when I get my 1866 is to do just this. Buy a Gen 1 and show it, then swap to the gen 2 and continue the good life.

Sitting outside in 36 deg weather looking for replacement pellets for my Notos. I was using their Brimstone 22 cal, 18.67 grain domed. Great accuracy. Umarex is only telling me they are out of stock, not if they will continue to sell them. No one else that I can see has any. I only have 4 tins left. I should of bought 20 when I had the chance once i saw what they could do with my gen 1 Notos. Ohh well

Fired my U2 and my 250z this morning. U2 got a bore cleaning yesterday so took about 20-shots of expensive Altaros slugs to get the rifle back to grouping! :(

Noticed my compressor seemed a little slow filling the last couple days. This morning while filling the 250z the compressor wouldn't push past 2000psi. When that happens it usually means one or more o-rings in my fill connectors need replaced. Replaced one that was for sure the problem, but also replaced the others as well. Compressor back to filling normally again. :)

When I am filling my tanks with my super loud Yong Heng, I constantly run my hands over the fill lines and all the fittings, including the ones on the compressor. I can't hear air escaping, so I feel for it. Leaking fittings get cold, and on the compressor I just feel for the air pressure of a leak. I find little leaks all the time this way and avoid big problems doing so.

I also use the yong heng. Thanks for the suggestions.

Went out his evening and made a coyote calling stand. Waited until it was late enough to just sit on one stand. Was going out last Friday but plans changed so this was my first attempt for this Fall/Winter.

No luck, unless I wanted to see Ravens and Mountain Jays! There were lot's of birds coming to the coyote vocals.

Last night at 8:00pm the coyotes were howling right behind the house so I had confidence..., but confidence didn't get it done tonight. :)
