Newman notified me that my Panthera is being shipped back tomorrow. I saw that there is finally a video discussing the Bull Barrel. It’s By Europe Airguns and so it’s in Spanish with subtitles. It gives a lot of good information about the Bull Barrel. In all honesty, it is the video that FX should have produced. It discusses the plenum insert and the loss in plenum space. Apparently the Plenum adapter has a hex inside it to aid in removal and installation. I’ve seen estimates that the Bull Barrel reduces the plenum space by 20-25%. That estimate is incorrect. This video explains the math and how it reduces the plenum size by 50%. I’ll reserve judgement until I get my rifle back and see how it shoots. If you’ve heard or seen the reports about FX sponsored shooters shooting their Pantheras/Dynamics with Bull Barrels and no shrouds, it’s because FX gave them access to an enlarged plenum. The stock shroud doesn’t fit with the extended plenum. Even with subtitles, this video is worth watching.

He just explained it with much more detail. FX didn't even explain all the hick ups that you might have, when they introduced the SOLID & BULL BARRELS. Like I said before FX is great @ MARKETING. Buy all the latest & greatest . You need this , you need that. When does it all stop? I know now FX is not as good as they claim to fame. This is certainly my opinion. I am totally awed about this mess. I will end on saying this . Why on earth would you get the BULL Barrel with no extended plenum. Or for the fact of FX not selling the extended plenum with the kit, Shame on FX for not dis-closing all this. YA GO BUY THIS TO AFTER THE FACT NOW < THAT YOU BOUGHT THIS. Go figure. In my opinion , FX showed their trust colors. I wiil end up probably selling the Panthers 700 .22 that I never took ownership yet March 26 to Date what a joke.

Yes they should have. They should also be more transparent about what happened with the coating on the Bull Barrel.

Yeah, they do a lot of stupid crap, and I don't actually like how they build their guns, BUT, they can blow you away when they are running right. Don't get rid of the one you've been waiting for until you have actually shot it. You owe it to yourself to shoot one when it is on.

Perhaps it's time to stop being patient and start hounding somebody. That's a long time, and other people have shown them. If you have money down it's time to get loud, or get your money back. If you don't have money down, it's a tough call, and a true test of patience.

The PANTHERA was paid in FULL I also paid for 300 bar bottlle, small nv bridge, rear bag rider, & .40 grain Altaros, 42 grain ace & 40 grain ace slugs .I went all out. The first Panthera developed a leak, that could not be repaired. It is now an R&R rifle. Also I have a DNT 635 R & a Sightron SV III 5x40x56, sitting & waiting @ the dealer. Now you know exactly what I have in this Phantom rifle. What I do like about your response it's direct . Some people here are timid to reply stronlgly & are afraid to post true honesty. Some of my own post that I written here I deleted for they were pretty HARSH. after I wrote them. We all here deserve to hear true world facts. The good the bad & the ugly. So others here don't fall into this big heaping $%#@&. When you said other people have shown them do you mean in stock? I am also waiting for the elusive BULL BARREL Thank you for your reply. What do you mean by other people have shown them ? I think shooting the 40 grain @ 1000 fps might be stretching it in this platform , with out maxing out the rifle. One would need slightly heavier hammer weight & high reg psi. 920 to 950 max with 40 grain slug , without being to harsh , my 2 cents. Some people say SUB MOA with their rifles? That still won't win 100 yard bench rest completions. It's pure luck & a great BARREL-, my 2 cents. If you look at my RAW in .22 smaller caliber , That AZ did for me it's better than SUB MOA, I do realize it is .22 but it is such a joy to shoot. It doesn't have to be shot off a vise or mechanical rest, just front & rear bags. A .357 DIABLO pellet fits in the hole.

I personally think FX went down hill .After all this they jumped ship , & the ship sailed. They actually buried themselves, in a deep hole. They now are figureing out how to fix their problems they inherited from their own blunder. Now I bet they are scrambling to make all parts, to get ready for release. They DEFFINATELY over promissed . The Panthera/ Dynamic is now their problem to figure out. Joke is on them , unless they can prove myself wrong. No, I don't think that people are afraid to comment here. Hameditor runs an open forum that is very fair and he gives a lot of lattitude to the discussions if they stay on topic and civil. Now, on other sites, you'd be right. I just don't think that people get anything out of commenting on problems they're not having, so they don't. That's fair too. I like to see other peoples problems get addressed because (selfishly) I realize that they could be mine someday and I'd want someone yelling with me too.

I think what you wanted to get is really good and there is not anything directly comparable in as many ways as FX stuff is. Which is the shame of all of this. Since you buy into systems now, it's expensive to jump ship. It's like the camera wars, Nikon or Canon, not both. The lenses would empty your bank account fast. I wouldn't suggest anything that I haven't used personally so won't say Ghost or a Wolf, but others might. Mora is another, and it has big power too. I like the build quality of an AAA, but they can take forever to get too. Good luck with this. Keep posting about it, somebody at FX might be shamed into doing something.

You see, this post, even I wouldn't comment on, because you are just venting. When you post, post about what you have done: ordered, paid, when, and to who; and what they have not done, contacted you, offered alternatives or your money back, given you a date or told you the hold up. The details help people get mad with you, not the complaining. Harsh, I know, but it's true. You also are giving out a list of things that you expect from them too, when you word things right, and give them a course of action.

All i can say is im happy with the drs. The panthera makes a bit more power indeed but at this point in time and not owning one it seems that power is also its Achilles heal. Their pushing everything to the max and thats tough on equipment. I was very surprised to see the sd on the panthera utah used in the vid for their new crono. It was pretty high!
