  • 4-16/44 Vortex Diamondback scope. I need a new scope, any recommendations?
  • FX D1
  • DonnyFL sumo suppressor

It leaked from the bottle connector first week. I had to remove the connector and noticed the o-Ring was gouged. I added some silicone and it’s holding. Air Venturi wanted me to send the whole gun back just to repair a O-Ring. I see many people modifying their rifles. Can someone explain What mods violate the warranty? Thanks!

All mods violate warranty

This is going to sound weird coming from me, because everyone that reads my stuff on this site knows that the first thing I do with a new gun is to void my warranty, but I would actually suggest that you don't void yours. Yet.

If this is a first gun, just go with it, read how people work on and tune theirs first. If you have a problem, send it in. I would never do that because I already know how to do everything they're going to do anyway, and I care more about my stuff than anybody else does, but you don't yet, so sending it in means that someone is going to go over your gun more thorougly this time and function check it better. On an M4 that might not be such a bad thing. An FX shooting well is pretty amazing and you should just enjoy it for a bit first, to have a baseline.

Once you figure everything out, yeah sure, tear into it, that's fun too. lol

Welcome to HAM!

What @Pumacarl just mentioned is about what I would say word for word, but on that note (and this in my opinion) someone afraid to work on their own pcp/void the warranty should probably not own an FX Impact! Many small parts, many o-rings and therfore many leak points. I do like it alot more vs the M3! I think the improvements are pretty noteworthy.
For a scope recommendation I would go with 6x24x50 for sure in either Element Helix G2 or Athlon Midas Tac. Both have good glass (Athlon slightly better) and great turrets (Helix slightly better).
Welcome to Ham, your M4 looks like 🔥....im a sucker for bullpups as much as full length rifles😅

Im not afraid. Im actually interested in modifying. I just really wanted to know how far I could go, or what they would look for to void the warranty. I spoke with Ted at Air Venturi, and he told me that as long as there are no crazy tool gouges or marks, the warranty will not be voided. They will not warranty any parts that are damaged by the owner. FX understands and promotes on their own YouTube channel modification to the gun.

Thats the best way to get info like that- go straight to the horses mouth.
