Panthera FX Panthera MKII .30 700mm My First FX

I replaced the AMP regulator with the HUMA TUNING regulator. The SD is still erratic, but getting better. I’ve put 300+ pellets and slugs through it since yesterday. These are not cherry picked groups. They’re the last two groups that I shot this morning with a changing crosswind. These were shot at 150 bar with the 1:16 slug liner at around 928fps. Personally, I think the AEA pellets like the 1:16 liner better than the 1:40 liner. Maybe the AEA pellets are having an identity crisis and think they are slugs🤣. Two five shot groups averaging 0.88 MOA at 100yds, I’m on the road to airgun happiness. IMG_3236.webpIMG_3242.webpIMG_3239.webpIMG_3240.webp

I had a King > 30 Cal 600 my reg was at 113 115 I was shooting the AEA 50,5 @ 934 937 with great results I think your reg is to high 600 barrel on mine I was at 86 yards of tri-pod 2.5 and 14 on wheel, You need a better tune 44 grain hybrids 950 960 These are some notes I had , I always write notes to go back and check, Do you remember what your reg was set at when u received it

I’ve had it at 100, 110, 120, 130, 135, 137.5, 140, 145 and 150. FX told me that the Panthera/Dynamic likes the higher end. I think the valve stem is sticking. I won’t be shooting this week. I have the HUMA reg in it now and it still has a spread higher than I like.
I think you are correct on the valve. I read on agn about someone with a drs i think it was that changed the type of o ring on the valve and polished the pin with good results.

Good thread. I had read another similar thread. I like the FX, but it’s a delicate Airgun. I definitely would not consider one as a utility working gun. I know everyone complains about all of the loctite. But, I’ve had the trigger weight screw creep so much that it was a safety issue. One of my trigger guard screws came loose. My rifle travels less than 50 ft back and forth from a climate controlled environment to the bench.

I asked for a Huma reg for my Panthera before a receive my .22 700 w ith Bull barrel, I was told nothing wrong with the amp reg. Lam still waiting for the rifle & barrel. Your Sonoron is like the Crown a joy to shoot. My next rifle will be a Raw with reg delete ,22 It will be tuned by bottle psi great triger. , with little to no service for years

Whether or not there’s anything wrong with the AMP reg is one if those great debates. I don’t have an opinion yet. The AAA EVOL has a similar reputation.

For me it’s just backyard target shooting for now. I think I eliminated the only two mice on my property. I never see Starlings or other pests.
As soon as I receive my .22 Panthera , I am going to really test it with the Bull Barrel. I hope & pray it is all that with that barrel, I don't care about the weight l am looking for results, in every form. I own a Thomas that weighs 18 lbs all decked out
