What'cha doing air gun related today?

Took out my Benjamin 347 today while I let my dog run around. I just had to see how strong my new shoulder is getting. I dare not tell my PT people about it yet. All went well. Took just a few shots at 4 pumps each. Totally amazed at how well I did at 30 yds Me vs old pound propane bottles🤣 Any way , all went well shoulder is fine and I can behave again. Definitely feel AG addicted😉 Stay well all👍
If it hurts, don't do it.

I won't tell your PT people. Beautiful rifle to get the bug fed. ❤️❤️❤️

I had popped the bird an hour or two earlier but left it there in my back yard, when I spotted the crow come in to inspect it. I saw it pulling pieces off & thought he was going to eat it. I went out later & found the bird 20 yards away, with the back of its neck ripped open, & a fly-filled chest cavity. It reminded me of the orcas flipping great white sharks over & slicing out their livers.

My good friend who lives across the street from Cleveland National Park in South Orange County California had her cat named Panther plucked up and carried away by a Giant Mountain Hawk. Neighbor who saw it said the bird had a 10ft wingspan. Poor cat was just sunning himself. He was a good cat.
I'm sure the hawk thought so too.😕

I personally would just use a flat wad cutter like an H&N Sport or Match Heavy lead if I was worried about short range over penetration. But a dome pellet should be no problem if you are shooting at a downward angle at it so it would hit the ground if it did go through. Looks like just about anything will shoot well out of that at short range. It's always best to have a backstop, even if it is the ground from shooting downward.

Would you guys recommend pointed .22 pellets for rabbits with in 20 yards? I don't want to over penetrate and go into neighbors' yard, but it's a battle keeping the bunnies out of the garden. I'm planning to use the said Walther Terrus. It shoots HN pointed pellets, HN FTTs, and GTO domes equally well.
How much fpe?
Shot placement?
Average size of rabbits?

Soft lead wad cutter or semi domed perhaps.

wunder about setting up a kill zone with a back stop so you dont have to worrie?
bait em into the zone?

make sure its legal I think in some place it may not be, not sure?

We had two days of rain so the ground was a little wet to put out paper targets
I just started on the impact targets, always do like the clank when they are hit
then i saw some some of the small brush again and scared myself with the Pinty 22, i was shooting the hades 15.89
and CMHP. i ccouldnt belive the striker was hitting limbs smaller than my littie finger, it may take 4 or 5 shots to cut one in half. Like cut the can just a good day enjoyed the sunshine

The neighbor should report that sighting, Mountain Hawks aren’t found in North America and that one had a wingspan that was double normal. In all seriousness, if it had a 10ft wingspan it would had to have been a Condor, which is possible. The next largest raptor would be a Golden Eagle with a 6-7 ft wingspan. All, huge birds. Sad for the pet, but would’ve been cool to see.
